Auto-Loom
Dumb question about the auto loom. I have never tried the manufacturing things in the game before. I set up an auto loom today at one of the settlements. But there seems to be no way to set what you want manufactured. Put cloth and adhesive in it, but all it produces is clean green dresses. How do you set it up to make clean suits or what have you.

You have it hooked to a computer right? Thats how you change the items. If you use mods , I recommend the Extended Manufacturing Mod. It allows you to scrap items, butcher animals, (who wants all those fly carcassses hanging around Sanctuary anyway).

Yeah, I just figured that out. I knew it was a stupid question. It is late here where I am, and I am tired. And I do use mods, but sparingly. Although I will give that one a go. It sounds useful. Thanks much.

I just had a problem with my armor maker. they should have made armor making similar to skyrim so you can actually make it your self. these machines just dump out random armor bits so you may have 25 left arms while just 1 left leg. its a real waste of resources.

I noticed that, too. Tried making medium combat armor and the same thing happened to me. Much easier to simply collect it in the world than that. No one has the resources to waste. I suppose that ordering each piece separately from the machine was too tedious. Still, I would think that they would have the machine simply make a full set at a time would work.

There is a mod for armor - I have it - Combat Armor Forge
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16721

Makes complete sets of armor without the randomness - it works good.

What I would like to know is why Bethesda suddenly got on this persecution campaign about modding. When this game came out, suddenly they wanted to punish anyone who uses them. The same thing holds for fast travel. Makes no sense to me.

They feel can provide a less volotile (Bugridden) and better product if all mods are funnled through them.....for a small fee of course. Because they have such a good track record in that whole bug free releasing products thing......

Disclaimer: I am a cynical ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who has far far far too much time on my hands. I will refer you to the Styx Song of the same name for particulars.

I could literally taste the cynicism. But I agree with you. Not sure what Beth thinks their end game will be.
