Heavy Robot Armor.
So this set has been getting on my nerves on a couple of characters. I REALLY want a full set but no matter where I look it never drops and I do NOT use console commands at all. What's the best place and reccomended levels to find a set? My current character is lv 43.

Start the DLC with ADA. The robot gang will show up every where almost. Your level is i think around the right level too encounter the robot raiders with heavy robot armor. I'm lvl 103 and i started today on the DLC with the robot's. They spawn now at random on the map aswell.

I started it about 25 levels ago. Now all I need to do is clear the Mechanists lair. Just holding off.

God I LOVE that automatic Tesla gun I got. :P

I don't remember if those enemys wil still spawn on the map randomly if you clear the DLC.
But i do know there are spots where random events are.
Example: Starlight Drive Inn - If you fast travel there and walk to the west under the concrete bridge there is a random spawn. They could spawn there so you can kill them and loot.

I know they do. Usually when I have myself using the Red Rocket by Sanctuary as my home which this time I am not.

when I changed my difficulty level to max, I think enemies started to have higher level gear.
tho my problem with all the heavy armor sets is that the left leg specifically is rare for some reason. other heavy armor parts are easy to get, but left leg just doesnt show up anywhere.

Ok, I changed to a harder one and got the right leg. So far.

And I'm sorry to mention this here but I just had a most satisfying moment. Killing a small pack of Super Mutants by shooting one of the two suiciders with an explosive harpoon gun with the flechette mod from the game itself..

If I may add another spot, just outside of Hangman's Alley there are often fights, from Robots to Super Mutants; maybe you can get some there. Check it out once in a while when you pass by...
(The intersection is just SW of Hangman's, along the river, like one block west then one block south)

South part of the map should have the highest ones. Head towards Quincy, the warehouse between Atom Cats garage and Gunners area in Quincy.

Theres a trailer close to the river behind County Crossing that usually has a random event there. I usually find them there more than anywhere else.

Sheesh. RNG REALLY hates me. Gained four more levels, been farming on the hardest difficulty and stil only have the heavy right leg to show for it. And I have been waiting to finish Automotron due to this.

Yeah, that is where it is nice to have AWKCR and Armorsmith Extended. Then you just craft your own.

Oh I use it all the time to dress my settlers according to their jobs, gives a settlement a more lived in look. Plus helps you remember who the @#$% is doing what, lol
