It says something other than "Your F4SE is up to date."?
F4SE works fine as it always has if installed properly.
This isn't the only way to extract F4SE into the right place but it does let you see, step by step, where everything is going and maybe get a better understanding of what's actually happening in the game folder.
I get it too, even when everything is up to date. Don't know what it is, what it wants or whatever. It doesn't stop me from playing soo....Whatever.
Edit: In skyrim and fallout 4.
Edit2: Just so clear After March Update was when it started. I checked, Double Checked and paid off some guy named Mel my plugins and verified all .dll files in skse/f4se \plugins were up to date.
I had that error message right after the last Bethesda attack on FO4...er, I mean update! No, this was different...my problem was that I was following Gopher's instructions, as per his video, and was rearchiving the Data folder and installing it through the Vortex Mod Manager. Just follow the installation instructions in the F4se readme and you should be ok.
Except that you put it in your Fallout 4 game folder, not the data folder.
OP was was archiving his data folder which is completely unnecessary and locking F4SE out of it's own scripts.
(Grab the ~2 dll files and the loader.exe and place them where skyrim/fallout exe is)
The DATA folder inside the SKSE/F4SE archive should be merged with the existing DATA folder of Skyrim/Fallout4.
OR have the data part of the archive installed through a mod organizer, like MO2. (Using anything else, you're a brainlet)
