Q: LF a good Settlement def/raid balance mod. Sim Settlement (Conqueror) worth a try?
The last time I played FO4, settlement defenses vs. raids were very unbalanced. I was adviced to use mods but this would disable achievements so I preferred to play unmodded.

Now I'd like to do another survival playthrough with balanced settlement defenses.

I installed the Unofficial patch from Nexusmods, but its patchnotes didn't mention much about balancing settlement defenses, while I thought it was a serious flaw in the mid/endgame.

Should I keep the balance as it is, or is there a must have mod for settlements? I checked the most favourite downloaded mods on Nexus, expecting a high rated settlement balancing in the list, but there was none.

What about the Sim Settlement (and it's recent Conqueror) Mod? Does it balance raid defenses or does it change the game in such a way that it's barely the original FO4?

I like the Ambush Kit in the Creation Club. It allows you to turn a beacon on/off. Then you get waves of attacks on the settlements. It continues until all your settlers are downed (you cna stimpak them), you shut the beacon off, or you die. Then eery 10 waves you get a boss and a flag that gives happiness.

It also has the remote cameras that allow you to "defend from a distance." It basically allows you to go to any settlement that has the camera monitor set up and pick the settlement with the camera and view the camres you placed. This fakes the AI into thinking you are present at a settlement so your defense layout is used rather than the % to win had you not gone there.

This does look like a good one, i keep forgetting about it. Been wanting the Goodneighbour apartment lately.

Should have a survival option for this because turning off and on takes the danger away.

OMG if they made an alien attack one like this but only for super hard mode players that would be awsome!

There are a few bases in the store, there is definately room for this!

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Or maybe Enclave. Either would be great. :)

The other thing is the ambush kit works REALLY well with Sim Settlements as well. When plots upgrade in a settlement you have to go visit the settlement for them to update. Using the camera allows you to fake that visit without having to travel there, which is handy with no fast travel.

Someone did do a Zetan faction for SS Conqueror. There is also a whole bunch of other factions people made you can play as.

Thanks :)

Unfortunately I'm unable to find Settlement Ambush Kit, search option gives no result and if I start to browse through the categories my connection with the mod service gets interrupted and I have to relog into mods. Hopefully it's just temporary, I'll try again this evening.
I did find Sim Settlement serie/3 in 1 :steamhappy:

Its on the CC store and when compared to other games its the best deal available especially on sale. Always free stuff to.

The competition hates the CC because they sell 1/100 the amount for 10x the price and stil wont make as much i am guessing.

Noir Penthouse and modern furniture and backpack highly recommended and the one in this topic looks good to and the new Goodneighbour apartment is one of the best yet i hear.

As for the Creation Club if it wasnt excellent and offering more new official Fallout 4 content for low price even i wouldnt say good things about it, meanwhile Nexusmods.com is also excellent.

A word of warning, you wont be able to loot all the mobs you kill in the waves, so pay attention to the legendary mobs that spawn.
