Help with CBBE

I'm having issues when trying to manage outfits in game. CBBE is installed correctly it works just fine, bodyslide studio works I can remove all clothing from corpses in game but I can't remove outfits from living NPC's. When attempting to trade with companions the outift isnt accessible and when trying to use 'removeitem' console command the NPC reappears in their base outfit. Why is this the case and how do I go about changing this?

That is not a CBBE issue. That is a Game issue. Give them another outfit and hit the key to Equip it (T by default).

If you want to get them Underwear or naked you need to do other things. Armorsmith extended mod allows you to craft Nudity rings. You can select the NPC in the console (ensure it's PRID shows) and type Unequipall. Other mods can allow you to different things based on their functionality.

But essentially you need to replace the body outfit with another body outfit if you want to do it through Trade.

Is there any way or mod that makes it so you can just take away their outfit so they appear in the CBBE body base?

I mentioned one. Armorsmith Extended allows you to craft rings that you can trade to them and equip.

how did you install the CBBE? did you install it by using Vortex? or something else? mine doesn't work

give them a helmeted outfit like a "hazmat" or "caged armore with helmet".
make them wear it.
give them a hat.
make them wear hat.
now their nekid.
not really sure why beth changed this i think about 1 or two years ago.
someone probably reeeeeee'd.
it's ironic since it's an adult game meant for adults.

This isn't a bug or an issue caused by your mods. This is a vanilla mechanic.

It is because equipped clothing becomes a hidden item.

If you click on a NPC and use this you can trade and equip stuff with them.

This is really handy when you want to give your doctors and NPCs that refuse to trade different clothing.

There are very simple ways of getting naked. Create a bat file and type
unequipitems; removeallitems;
Now select the target individual (set prid) and execute the bat file.

Now getting them to wear certain clothes is slightly less simple; Use have to use 2 bat files and you execute them in this manner; Enter console, execute the bat files that adds the items, exit console, enter console and execute the bat file to equip the clothes that are added. I think the problem is that the console commands are not executed in the sequence they are applied. So doing add and then equip in one session will not work.
