This would take too long. Is there some way to skip all the 'fast travel'?

No there is not. In fact fast travel is the only way to skip long distances on the map. Example
Good Neighbor to Virgil's Cave. or Virigils Cave to Greentech/CIT.

Teleport?

Why not just use tcl and fly through the ground right into the institute's reactor room, then give yourself the charge using console and blow it up?

Is the intention is finish the game using cheats, why not simple complete all the quest using the set stage command?

Or more easy, download a save game from nexus with main quest complete, all other vanila things untouched?

What I should have added is that after you get the teleporter plans you turn off the god mode and
play without using the console at all. Also I did give myself a whole bunch of caps before doing number 1 on the list as well.

The easiet way is the most logical and I forgot it. You just save after Virgil gives you the plans.

ROFLMAO.

I am still trying to figure out how this way is supposed to good guide? I mean all he did was cut the main quest line down to the absolute bare minimum.

If you are only going to do the bare minimum then why even bother trying?

Yeah I have to go with that answer. Although those kinda saves are really useful for Sim Settlement contest entries.

I bet those who speedrun the game finish it in less than 10min and skip to your point nr 15, probably with a object and clipping through things. I have not seen any speedruns of fallout 4 but I guess you have a very slow route indeed.
I am not sure if speedrunners are "allowed" to use the console. I guess it depends on the catagory.
Edit: you did not say how fast you have managed it using your guide? is it below 15min or what is your time?

Tcl? What that?

It's a console command that toggles collision on and off, allowing you to pass through obstacles like a ghost. But it doesn't matter in regard to this old thread, since it wouldn't work in the suggested manner anyway. Interiors like the inside of the Institute are entirely separate from the exterior worldspace of the wasteland and can't be reached just by flying through the ground.

If you want to use console commands to skip playing any of the game like the OP here was suggesting, you're better off just looking up a video of someone else playing it. They're not even finishing the main quest, just the first part of it.
