It's possible one of the raiders might have glitched and is invisible. Try the KAH command to kill all hostiles.

how do you apply the KAH command? that could come in handy.

It's a console command. Go here and search for "hostiles:"

I am just guessing, but try exiting the front door then come back in. It should force a reset of the area. That might unlock the door.

Go outside again, then open the console. Use tcl to 'fly' up to the roof. then tcl again to cancel. Only fix I can think of.

doesnt one of them have a key or the guy at computer trigger it maybe
No one has a key, that door unlocks the moment all the raiders are dead. If you're using Knockout Framework, then it's possible there's a raider that's still alive but is knocked out. If this is the case, you need to find which raider it is and kill them. The next best guess is the game didn't run the trigger properly or at all after all raiders were killed.

I had this happen and spent forever just to find out one of the raiders was hanging out in the corner of the basement like nothing had happened. Otherwise, go outside and make sure all the raiders that are outside are dead. It shouldn't make a difference because I usually just go straight in, but it has in the past. See if Preston yells anything from the balcony when you go out. If he says the raiders are almost to him and you don't find anyone - someone is probably stuck in a wall and you'll likely have to reset to last save. OR its a mod conflict - but i've never had a mod conflict with this area before, so prob not.

i thought you had to use the computer to open the door, the one that sturgis is using
Jynne Aug 24, 2019 @ 7:56pm
nope, don't need that at all - i interpreted that question to mean that the door that sturges is behind isn't opening. I don't even touch the comp sturges is using - i think that opens the fusion core door, but never actually tried that comp.
