Extremely loud sound in the menu
Hello. I just bought Fallout 4 and when I start the game and come to the menu I get a deafening sound, like the volume was turned up to 1000 %. I have tried lowering the volume in game but nothing really happens.

When I get in game most of the audio is okay except for the background music and the "clicking" sound you get when you navigate the Pip-boy and character customization. This is the only game I have this problem with. Anyone got a clue?

EDIT: It seems I have solved it. I changed the audio output on my computer from Razer Nari - Chat to Razer Nari - Game. Don't know why it works now but oh well!

Check your sound software. It may expect a certain format or a number of channels, which the game does not produce and you have to manually change it to something that works. Sometimes it is also Windows and its sound enhancements that need to be turned off.

Read here under "Audio Issues" for more pointers:
