I dont know but this is what i did.

Use Bethesda Archive Extractor from Nexus and extract the Fallout4 - Sounds.ba2.

Put the extracted radio music in the right folder in the Fallout 4 folder.

Rename the music from the mod you got to the vanilla music songs and replace the vanilla music.

With this you can have detailed custom music on all the radio stations and even the minutemen station will be cool, no mods needed or changes to the plugins text needed.

Make a shortcut to the data folder on desktop if going to do any modding. Also backup the entire Fallout 4 folder before modding.

Using the BAE Bethesda Archive Extractor from Nexus will make modding more understandable. It doesnt do anything to the files in the Fallout 4 folder just copies them and into a way they can be looked at.

this will replace the vanilla songs? that would be pointless then because i want more songs for the radio station. tired of hearing the same songs over and over again xD

i did, i checked everything, i followed every steps in the mod page and tried switching load orders.
i'm not sure if this mod conflicts with other mods but i dont think that's likely since this mod only adds new songs. right?

I dont know. The advantage to replacing songs is that it doesnt add anything to the loading like alot of mods can. Just something to think about.

Checking Youtube for tutorials is the way to go any time though. Really.

I searched "Fallout 4 music.radio mod" on Youtube. These are the videos i found maybe you have more luck.

yall are doing way too much work. I suggest using a mod manager like Vortex because I use this mod from time to time and you literally just activate it in Vortex and turn on the radio in game and it works....from the mod page:

"If the radio doesn't work immediately, turn it off, go fast travel around a bit, enter and exit some locations, and turn it back on. Sometimes Travis gets 'stuck' and has to be restarted."

ok i think i know what could be the cause of the problem. the mod edits the "sResourceDataDirsFinal=" line to "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\" in fallout4.ini. but for some reason my fallout4.ini keep reverting back the change. i changed it to read only but somehow the read only box got unchecked after starting and quitting the game. Also, i have fallout4.ini.baked, fallout4.ini.base, fallout4.ini.bethinibackup alongside the original fallout4.ini in my fo4 documents folder. could these files play a role in this?
