Gray Gardens on last legs.
Gray Gardens was attacked by Mutans and now only 4 robots are left. Is there a way add more robots there so they don't go belly up. Can I add regular settlers?

If you have Automatron you can build new Handies, ever better because you could upgrade them and assign names and voicetypes. You can add regular settlers too but that just ruins the charm doesn't it lol

You can add more settlers that is a better way to defend the place. Second you might be able to resurrect using the TLC commands.

Thanks fellas for the suggestions, they raise a couple of more questions though. What is the TLC command and how do you get it. It would be better if I can resurrect the robots that are kaput but failing that I will bring in the cavalry. I think the Automatron is a perk if it is I don't have it yet.

Are you sure the robots are "dead"? Or are they just down? Settlers usually have the protected status. Meaning they cannot be killed by enemies. They can be killed by you. No idea if the robots have this too. They should but it may have been missed. If you are on survival, repair kits may work. Things in settlements reset after 3+ game days. They might recover.

Thanks good advice I never would have thought of that. I went back once but it was not too long after the attack and they were still out of commission. I'll check them out in a few days, it will save me a lot of work if they recover. Thanks for the link Bubblegum, it looks too daunting to me though, not my cup of tea.

Console commands can also be used to directly check if the robots have the Protected or Essential status to keep them from getting permanently destroyed. The command is something like IsProtected or IsEssential targeting whatever robot you want to check.

The Automatron DLC.

I had an attack on GG and the unnamed robots were destroyed. They never recovered.

Everyone is right, but you have to arm your settlers with good guns (one by one) or their screwed. Turrets are the way to go, the big powerful ones. Even the little ones do a good job if placed right.

The robots all use melee weapons and will run down next to the villains. I arm my settlers there with melee weapons so they don't stand back and shoot the robots.

I took a look at Graygarden, and at least in my game all the original robots seem to have the Protected status, both when checked with the console and when tested with some spawned enemies.

That means if some got taken out, it was a player accident or a bug of some kind.

Hey fellas I took another gander at GG and here is what I found. Only 4 robots left they consisted of 2 Mr Handy's and Supervisor's White and Brown. Could only find the remains of 2 robot's, a Mr Handy and Supervisor Green. I think Green was the one I traded with.
No clue as to where the rest of the 13 robot's have got to. I'm not sure of the timeline but I don't think it has been 3 game days yet, so I will check back again later.

Thirteen? I thought there were usually about seven robots (the three named ones, and maybe three or four unnamed).

Any non essential actor you dont want to die on accident should just be console commanded to be at least protected, if not outright essential.

Learned that from Skyrim and its dragon/vampire attacks.

From what I saw, the default robots at Graygarden already have Protected status.
