Fo 76 / 4 deal

So i wanted to try fo 76 but there are a good deal for the goty for fo 4 on instant gaming (not sure if they are legit like humble).
Any tips guys? (i already play the 4 a bit when i had a crappy pc, now is a different story), regardless the hate of fo 76 i want to try it.
Mostly i ask because i don't have much time to enjoy a sp game, and a fast game online seems more appropriate for me right now due to work etc.
(my pov about fo76, i think this game is a good moove, Bethesda risk a lot to make a "new" game,instead of making the same one for ever like everyone, i think all companies should risk a bit more to try to create new things, new ip etc)

I would imagine another free trial for Fallout 76 will be around the Wastelanders release, which is November? Either before or after.

At least I would think that would be a smart marketing ploy to get people to comeback or try it.

ill take the goty for 12 euro, it is so juicy, i hope ill don't have any noticeable bottlenecks due my phenom ii x4 965 be paired with an rx 590 😂

I've avoided 76 because every single thing I read about it makes it seem like it's more of a cash vacuum than a mobile game. I've started my 5th or 6th play through of Fallout 4 using more than 2 dozen mods that make the game look amazing. I'm not even really running mods with extra content just QOL stuff and graphics enhancers and the game looks and plays so much better than it did when it first released with these mods. Hell, the Bean Town Interiors mod is almost as good as a $10 DLC as far as I'm concerned.

Seriously, even though I feel like sort of an a*hole for dumping on FO 76 having never played it I have to say avoid it. Get FO 4, download Vortex from the Nexus mod website and then do a Google search for "Best Fallout 4 Mods" and download some of them (a lot of the better mods appear on every list like "Lowered Gun" and "Better Settlers) and just play around in FO4. You say that you don't have much time for a single player game but Fallout 4 has a pretty weak story anyway so you can just spend your time exploring the different locations and doing side quests like you would in an online game.

I tend to not care for what people say about game, i want and need to try myself the game/s and make my own opinion, for now ill take fo4 because the goty is suoer cheap and because i played all of them and mostly super modded i hope my cpu can handle a bunch of them like in skyrim about fo76 ill take it for sure some day or maybe ill try it for free like bored peon say(if ever it go for free for a weekend again, i miss the first one), thanks for your suggest anyway... in the meantime at work i've browsed some mods, im looking something about the settlement attacks, something that add faction or whatsoever attacks me

How does that make you qualified to tell someone to avoid Fallout 76? You are doing nothing but repeating the vocal minority. You know those same people like you who never played either.

Cash vacuum? I have over 900 hours played over the last year and I have not spent any money besides the initial purchase of the game.

Fallout 76 actually runs better than Fallout 4 for that very reason. People can not mod it so much it breaks, and the scripting is run on the server instead of your PC.

I have my issues with f76, bought it in beta, stopped playing back in march after the fasnacht event. If you enjoy exploring and endlessly collecting and gathering things and occasionally shooting at stuff, it's your game. Games got a lot of nice features, I like camping and the new foods and junk items, but it lacks a lot of what I play bethesda games for. F76 has a cool world to play in, but not much to do in it aside from Explore>Loot/fight>Return>Repeat. There's also all the lore/story complaints, but I won't waste time getting into that.

Also it runs horribly on my pc, which runs fallout 4 with mostly high settings.

Dude, I literally said I wasn't qualified to tell someone to avoid the game. I just said why I avoided it and why I think Fallout 4 is a great game. I mean I could have just lied but I didn't.

i never cared about those negative reviews about fo76(mostly by those who never try it before but talk because they hear something about it) , it's Bethesda first online game and i like they take this high risk to try to make a new game instead of fallout 5, i like that moove and i hope more teams try to do the same, new ip's mechanics etc and don't rely on the same ip forever. That's why now that i can i will buy fo76 too and try it for myself and make my own opinion about the game if is bad or good.

im one of the idiots who buyed fo76, and i cant recommand it. you see a lot of bugs carryied over 1to1 from fo4 (with the little problem that this bugs get killed by the fanmade patch in fo4 but bugthesdas 1€ student programmers just taken over the faulty code to fo76) and as a big plus you get with each new patch new bugs that never get tackled with, some of them gamebreakers, thats what bugthesda is famose for, but its a nogo in a MP Online game. if you dont play in english you get on top of all that the problem that they build in some extra problems (like a nasty shading bug because some braindeath translated the filesnames, but not the file calls in the scripts) . and because localisation bugs like that dont happen in the english version they are not even aware of this bugs, becasue the ignore consequetly all bugs that dont happen in the english version (ok to be true they ignore also 95% of the bugs in the english version and only pump out new buggy content instead of making the old playable)

Im play only on pc, and i find fo76 for 17 euro on instant gaming but right now unfortunately is out of stock, they just sell all the aviable keys when they put the 70%discount these days, and fo4 goty for 10 euro, ill take this as soon as i get home from work.

Surprisingly i keep 75fps(i lock them up to my monitor and for freesync) inside and drop it to like 50 or something outside, all on high i can even try ultra because it won't change nothing, no loss of fps or gains because of cpu, i wonder what setting i can drop for the cpu to work a bit less, strange thing the auto detect settings won't detect my rx590 and put the settings to low.
