Low FPS in certain buildings.
In some buildings my game goes from 45-50 FPS to 20-25 FPS I was wondering if there is a fix for this. It would be appreciated if someone found a fix for this since I can run the game fine outdoors and in intense battles with grenades and bombs going off and all sort of other stuff but the second I walk into one of these buildings my FPS just dies.

Lots of items on building reduce LOD to reduce lag or turn off your FPS counter and accept the fact your GPU needs more power. I did the later.

Is there some way to make it so my game automatically switches settings for when i go in a building and am outside because adjusting the LOD settings makes it so I can’t see enemies and objects from far away outside however it helps inside and I don’t need to worry about seeing from one end of a building to the other since something typically blocks my view anyway.
You need to list your computer hardware configuration for any technical question on performance.

Top of steam > help button > system information, copy and paste the log here and let's see where the problem lies.

Make/ get a mod for that. I would if I could be bothered.
Use this mod on full mode https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9835 , and this mod here https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25714 . The later will improve graphics and increase FPS as texture sizes are optimised.

Not sure if either of those will help, assuming the problem is with indoor cells - Insignificant Items Remover doesn't really help indoors, and large FPS drops in FO4 tend to be drawcall related unless the OP is running a GPU with quite low VRAM available.

I would recommend trying out the Dynamic Performance Tuner[www.nexusmods.com] and see if that helps at all.

The combo works for me

I remember this happened in certain areas of Skyrim too. Radiant Rainment for example was notorious for dropped FPS from a stable 60 to a stuttering 5 to 10. If I remember correctly there was a problem with the ELFX lighting mod that needed to be patched. You didn't mention if you're using any mods, but it may be a similar issue if you are using a lighting mod.

What are your specs?

I don't doubt it helps - in outdoor areas.

Insignificant Object Remover, to my knowledge, does not effect interior cells at all, and the Vivid Fallout textures are almost exclusively outdoor terrain textures. To be sure, some are probably used in some interiors, but not a whole lot.

Yes, both are awesome and incredible mods, but with this particular problem, they most likely will not help the OP.

i havent had any issues with skyrim but that might be because they fixed this bug in the skyrim special edition, im unsure. and yes i am using a mod called Insignificant Object Remover. i have been using it for a whule now so i can comfirm it doesnt help with indoor cells

Usaully interiors have much higher FPS than exteriors because of fewer objects having to be rendered and far less shadows and the distance also is much less. What exactly are your specs.
Why are you keeping your hardware a secret man? How's anyone on here supposed to help?

Fps drops inside places are definitely going to be gpu related because of all the lights and particles.

I would make suggestions, but I have never suffered an interior frame drop in this game, ever. Which leads me to believe you're running an underperforming system.

ive been trying to keep it a secret because communtiy can get very critical when system specs are talked about. however since i havent fixed the problem yet and everyone is getting more impatiant i will post my specs
