Thats like data/ The doctor in star trek never geting their yes they are lifeform status. You cant tell if something is a synth 3 unless you kill them which tells you the insitute is making human slaves with control chips in their head. The only thing changed with them is the long life and really high rad resistance. The background rads will one day kill even synth 3 with cancer.
Even after may fresh starts ... I find it difficult to focus on only one faction.
Each has their good points and each have their bad points.
If I had the liberty to do so, I would change a few things so everyone benefitted and define a better future for all where it is possible to do so.
i think if i had to choose between the factions id go for for the Harbormen
they just want to be left alone and has untill the atom freaks came along been left alone
they didnt have any quarrel with the synths when they first came they had no reason to
but then the damn atom freaks showed up and brought paranoia with them.
sure DiMa isnt pure and all good but he did what he had to like everyonelse does,
can you really blame him for being a leader for his people?
maybe this playthrough i shall do the right thing.
kill the religious. *in before hatestream*
Really? They opened the door and treated you like a fellow human being? Or did they want something from you? You had to basicly drag a desperate band of scientists to even get their notice. They were opportunistic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ also. They saw the power of Purified Water for their dominance of the DC area. Even the ones at the radio station treated you with a certain contempt after you saved their ass. To paraphrase Bryan in Bladerunner. If you aint Brotherhood you are little people. That and the fact they kept going on about preserving old world technology while blowing it up at every opportunity (Raven Rock, Whatever that Big Rolling whatever thing was, the institute, etc). They are just raiders with Power Armor.
fix their broken stuff , feed them , tuck them in at night , find their lost friends and loved ones .
you'll be a better , kinder person for it !
Do what you want because a raider is free, YOU ARE A RAIDER!
fine the children of atom then. they have next to no hair
and lets face it , they're the acid dropping hippie yoga freaks
i'm not in to all the meditating and chanting ,
yes i would , i wash my hands after looting corpse's ,
i only drink the purified water and the finest deathclaw steaks
As far as morality, the Minutemen is the most morally pure. While most think they'll fall apart, and they very well might, they also could do potentially the best. They also dont need to remain independant. if you're diplomatic, you can get them to team up with most other factions. They also tend to do really well when the going gets tough, and came the closest to establishing a functioning government in the wasteland.
For the Railroad, it all boils down to, do you believe synths are people? IN other words, if you watched star trek, did you believe holograms are people? Then the railroad isn't a bad choice. (Personally, I could give less of a ♥♥♥♥ if they're 'human'. If you cut it, it bleeds. If you tell it a joke, it laughs. Good enough for me.)
For the Brotherhood, they are by far the best chance the commonwealth has of a stable government. With mods (AKA Danse Dilemma) you can finally get the quite frankly facist bastard Maxon out of power, and usher in a brotherhood more like lyons. Otherwise....the brotherhood, is basicly just a facist militarized force here to force people into feeding them, so they can expand they're military power from DC>
For the Institute, you would almost undoubtedly have unmached power. But as the Institute shows time and time again, they're ridiculously petty, and tend to unleash horror upon the wasteland through either sheer disreguard for others (Swan and the mutants) or incompitence. (The broken mask incident). They're stupid evil at they're absolute worst, and neutral evil at they're absolute best.
Personally, I either go Minutemen and Railroad, or Minutemen and Brotherhood with mods.
...I dont really mention or talk about the raiders because not only is they're questline basicly not fleshed out,t he only faction it reasonibly plays nice with is the Institute, because the Institute dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about what happens above ground. So, in lieu of Minutemen institute, raider institute is a thing.
