First playthrough with or without mods?
Hello community!

I have finally purchased this game with all DLC`s. After a search on Google I got to know that this game is mod friendly. Many people say that one should play the game without mods first to expereince how the developers intended it to be. What are your advices? I am totally new to this game.

About mods I am thinking of graphical mods which make the game look better and not mods for everything else like armor etc.

The only reason to play through with no mods is to have a save you know won't be corrupted in Vanilla. Even now where I know I am going to mod I will turn them all off when I start a new play through, just to have a save that has no mods active.

It's not so much about cheating. The biggest "cheat" is console command and you don't need any mods for that. Just enough self control to avoid using it.

Playing TES or Fallout games modded on the first playthrough is taboo. Never do it.
Don't use the console either.

This is a public service announcement.

-Get the highwayman mod from www.nexumods.com. Its 100% good, and get it.

-Put the game on survival mode.

-Get the multiple companions mod from nexus.

-Replace the exp gain sound with a mod from nexus.

-Remove the ui with a mod from nexus.

Then start the game. Its the way it was meant to be played. Your welcome. Send the cheque in the mail. :)

Under no circumstances finish the game until it is modded to what the player considers perfect.

If possible if the player is really a player, restart the game if the player character dies. Play iron man. Thank me later. :)

My good deed for the day. Play like this reply says and be happy.

These replies are coming from the guy that owns the best Fallout 4 game made.

Better screenshots on the way some time, because my game is better than these screenshots now.

Play vanilla untill you get bored or see what the game is lacking, then fix it with mods.

TES = The Elder Scrolls

The Elder Scrolls. Also ignore his reply. Do not under any circumstances finish the game until its perfectly modded for you.

I agree dont add any equipment or weapons though. Dont ruin the survival mode balance, which is supposed to be challenging but can be done without dying even once and not cheating. Very difficult to do but possible. Requires many tries and i still have not managed it.

Play 100% legit, restart if player character dies. Best way it can be played. Its just better.

you ARE a barbarian!
The Elder Scrolls

i played first with all the dlc except the high res graphics.
played probably 20 to 50 ingame hours before looking into the mods.
the unofficial patch was first, and after i saw people talking about the mod companion heather i installed her mod.

well then i installed the nexus node manager and am now running about 5 different profiles , one with no mods and the others with some of the 155 mods i have active in each profile.

the mods change the game and are worth looking into, but i recomend playin the no mod setup for a while to see just how good the game is for you without mods, and then look to see what there is in the vast selection of mods that you think might be something you would like to try.

the game is graet in many ways, and one of them is that you can change it in many ways to suit your own playstyle.

you'll see alot of people talking bad about the creation club, and i was one of them till i found out it was for the playstation players because of the restrictions sony has about modifying software running on their console.
CC is how playstation people get to mod their game, and the rest of us have other options that mean the CC is not all that great for us.
i think it's great that there is a workaround like this to let playstion folks use mods.
so now i don't oppose the CC anymore, i just don't buy anything there.

Without.
There's absolutely no reason to play with mods then, and there after unless you want to detract from the original vision that Bethesda set with Fallout 4.
..that being said, there's still some impressive modding material out there, so It's better to go in vanilla so you'll have a greater appreciation for the game as a whole before decking it out.

Im sounding really intense this morning but just trying to get across how Fallout 4 is easily the best game ever made if treated and upgraded properly.

Fallout 4 was trolled and nerfed. My reply above is the original vision. Multiple companions on survival, with the highwayman mod. Fact.

Play iron man for the true original vision.

More about true orginal vision? All the chics would be super thin and not fat asses like the game is sold. Because the post apoc isnt an eating contest. :) Have to use your legs to get around and get off their asses. :)

Im playing the ultimate Fallout 4 game. Not what was nerfed and sold in an effort to market share and things like that.

I was thinking more about graphical mods. Or do you think the game should still be experienced at it is without mods anyway?

Yours is a delusion based on your own quarrel and presenting personal opinion as fact.
Do you still deny the existence of the women's batallion too, mr delusional?
