Needed help for object fade distance or w/e it's called
Yesterday I decided to try and increase my fps, it didn't work, after putting everything back to normal I realize that objects in the distance (EX. fire hydrants, signs, etc..) just appear in 'chunks' instead of slowly appearing or fading away when I walk away or toward them,

Keep in mind that I had no problem with this 'fading' because it worked RIGHT before I changed the settings, so it's not a RAM problem or anything, I just can't find the option to enable it again.

All I did was disable Vsync, changed the power management to 'prefer maximum performance', disabled battery boost, and then re-enabled all of them with no issue, cept for this one.

Can anyone help? I tried everything and I honestly don't even know how the option is called, so I'm kinda stuck.

The setting for object fade is in the game's Options menu, Advanced, under the view distance tab. Move the slider all the way to the right.

the fade distance is the one thing you don't want to down-spec. Nothing more immersion breaking than having a building jump up infront of you when you are a few yards from it. In real life it only happens to me when i am drunk.

Checked it yesterday, it's already all the way to the right. I tried turning it off, saving and turning it on again but I still get objects literally popping up in the distance. That's really odd.

OK, first make sure you put power management back to Quality.

Then verify the integrity of the game files.

If that doesn't work, try using GeForce Experience to optimize your settings.
