fallout 4 crashes my pc
Every time i play fallout 4, my pc crashes after a couple minutes. This didn't happen to me from the start though. The game played fine at the beginning, that's why i still have played it for a good 30 hours. But the more i played it the faster the crashes would happen. So now i rarely play it anymore because the game became unplayable due to these crashes.

My specs:
Intel Core i5-4460 3.2 GHz
8GB RAM
Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hard to say what the problem is. Do you use mods? Have you tried reinstalling? Have you tried verifying the game cache?

Use the Fallout Performance Monitor from Nexus mods to see how your computer performs when playing Fallout 4 to get a better understanding on what the problem really is.

There is also a program from Pinform called Speccy that monitors your specs only when you ask for it. You might want to monitor you video card temperature as that will also shut the game down. You may decied you need at least 12 gigs of video ram.

your leaving off what gpu you have , if it's a laptop ( i bet it is ), dlc ?, modded?
so how can anyone give or offer a solution when you're so vague .
this is all you offered

"my game crashes , and it's crashing more now than before ,
i have windows 10 and an i5 "
so who knows ,
but it will be fun to watch the thread to see what odd recommendations you get

It is a desktop. I don't have the dlc and no mods either. Sorry about not giving my gpu, i just didn't know how to find what gpu i'm using. It is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760.

No mods, and i haven't tried the 2 others things you said. Do you think that could solve the issue? I don't know how to verify the cache though.

Yeah I think it might have to do something with overheating, but can it overheat that fast in just a minute of playing the game?
no mods will crash any pc when they are created within the scope of fo4 game lol.
this has to be your pc's issue, your pc most probably couldn't take how power hungry fo4 is. what's your gpu though?

Gtx 760 is not enpugh for most modern triple A titles. You should get at least a gtx 1060 or rx480/580

If you suspect overheating then I recommend testing to check.
Download Unigine valley and install, its a gaming load benchmark utility that can run for as long as you like https://benchmark.unigine.com/valley
Download MSI Afterburner and install, then in the options (monitoring tab) configure whatever sensors (show the GPU fan speed as well to check it is running) you want to display on-screen (there is a check-box below the sensors window to enable) https://www.msi.com/page/afterburner
Then run Unigine valley and see what happens.
