Character Permanently Godmode
Really have no clue how this happened but my player character has suddenly become invulnerable to all damage and uses no AP when running. He still requires food, water and rest from what I have seen so far (playing on Survival).

I have the console enabled through mods (to help with over-designing settlements) and have tried typing "tgm" in the chance that I might have used it earlier and forgotten. I only get the message "God mode disabled".

Not "God mode is disabled". God Mode seems to be enabled and I can't disable it, as it simply repeatedly tells me "God mode disabled" yet I can't take any damage no matter what I try!

Not sure what has happened. I do not believe it was a mod as it seems to have happened during my recent play time.

Anyone got any solutions? Is this common? Are there any mods that just over-ride any pesky God Mode enabling aspects? Building in relative safety is one thing but the remainder of the game is ruined with this crap on!

(Also, I wonder if I should place money on people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about God Mode in Survival in this thread?)

I just had this, you saved me lol. For me it was workshop +. After reading I reloaded previous saves, I had a save right over the bridge from sanctuary where i left the radius of the workshop menu without closing. To fix it I just re-entered workshop mode and exited. I did re-enter and exit at sanctuary so I do not know if it would be settlement specific.

LOL someone else is having that issue too. The TIM toggle for Workshop Plus has been broken and buggy for years. Just be glad ya didnt get the other bug it does where if you heal health you die.

In case you're still having trouble with this three years later, I figured out it was Workshop+ causing the issue (for me). It has settings for turning off damage, clipping, etc while in workshop mode, and sometimes it gets stuck. You can tell when sprinting costs no AP and when stimpacks stop working, just like you described.

You can turn those settings off in the MCM. Shouldn't be an issue after that.

If you don't have Workshop+, look for any mods that turn your damage off automatically for any reason. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but it's better than "uh your mods are the problem duh" that people so helpfully reply with right off the bat on ANY bethesda game.

Here to necro this post to say this was exactly my issue. Spamming workshop mode finally fixed it.

Or Falloutt is being Fallout and some quests get broken that only console commands can fix... Nah, Bethesda games are 100% stable and never glitch out.

It aint cheating like you think.

Workshop Plus uses TIM (not TGM) to prevent falling damage while in workshop mode. It does not always turn TIM back off properly. It has caused issues for about four years now.

The other common issue it causes is healing kills you because everything is out of sync.

Thank you so much for your reply. I had a problem with immortality, and you helped fix it. In 2025.
