Rebuild Sanctuary

So...how many hours you people spended in rebuild and design Sanctuary?

Relatively few. I focused on Starlight Drive-In and the Castle instead, since setting up a base in suburbia didn't really interest me.

With mods on Ps4 around 100+ hours made a chruch and store, a rest stop for my provioners, even feed trough where the cows stopped, now i use dogs, a Reck rom and radio tower, each house has so many house plants and cats!

I never design my settlements to look good, only functionality. I am out and about adventuring and playing the game, not sitting in a chair in my base watching tv and going "boy that vase i put there looks great". I drop in, drop off my stuff, sell some stuff to merchants to clear inventory and get more ammo, then head back out. I don't see the need to build elaborate bases when you aren't in them 99.99% of the game.

defenses, walls, basic items (bells, alarms, crafting) and thats it. Not once have i ever decorated any of my bases with anything not a necessity except for a power armor section.

I made Sanctuary an Ok place on my first play through, probably 10-15 hours total just there. But after having to make multiple settlements, stock them , connect them, DEFEND them.....

I haven't seen Codsworth or What's his face on any subsequent play throughs. I use Red Rocket as a base and build the relay wherever my play through faction allows.

As little as possible. I basically just spend enough time there to finish the tutorial settlement quest for the xp then only come back when I have high enough lockpicking to get the Cryolator. I hate that entire group of people and do my best to avoid them, else I might give in to the temptation to blow them all up.

What i have been doing as well, SH is played out and Red Rocket is a Gas station so good place to chill, thing is the building limit is small imo, i use a mod to expand and no build limit.

I usually do Sanctuary as a farm base... use all the cleared house foundations to be greenhouses, slap a water plant on the banks. Then make some minor changes to the prebuilds to give the beds the roofed bonus. Do defenses (lots of turrents) And set up salvage stations for any spare settlers

I ditched Sanctuary for Nuka World when I decided to ditch the Minutemen for the Raiders.

Last playthrough I scrapped it to the bare ground, built a retaining wall from the bridge to either side and around, then used Ground to completely level the build area. Took... a while but it gave me all of Sanctuary flat and level for my building purposes. Looked pretty neat too.

Seen a few mods for that, clear SH, nothing but a dead island, i built 2 bridges off mine, my caravans used them and i had fishing chairs and traps along it was really cool, then save error and save error lost a lot

Took a few days. Did a scrap all and rebuilt it from the ground.

I used albernaty farm as a slave station...let all the settlers work at those junk stations for materials.

I've already spent about 10-20 hours in Sanctuary alone. I have built the most at The Castle, though. Am planning to rebuild how much I've built there and turn it into a, well, a Sanctuary.

I spent a weekend figuring out how to jam as many water purifiers as possible in that river ;)
