it runs super fine. i have 8gb ram myself. hardware wise never had issues so far.

the graphics card and the cpu are much more important than a bit of extra ram for performance here.

Yeah, I used to run on 8GB fine, maybe even better than 16, but that's probably because my kit is mismatched or, more likely, because Bethesda patched in some performance issues between my increase.

Anyway, unless you've got a stack of retarded programs running at the same time, 8GB should be fine, never seen Fallout 4 break 5GB used personally, but I've never really tracked it much.

I ran FO4 on 8gb (7.5 adressable) and 16GB (15.4 adressable) with very little if any noticable difference in apparent game speeds.

FO4 is installed to a SATA SSD
