Fallout 4

No luck anywhere else; so I'll ask here. Can my laptop handle Fallout 4?
So before I buy Fallout 4 G.O.T.Y. I'd like to be sure my laptop can actually play the game. I used systemrequiremetslab and it says I need an upgrade. But looking at my GPU specs and CPU i think i could probably run it. Any advice is appreciated.

Specs:
Fallout 4
DVRAM - 2048
CPU - i5-2300 2.8GHz
RAM 8g

Laptop
DVRAM - 128MB - GPU has 4000 total
CPU - i5-7200 2.7GHz
RAM 8g

I'll run low res pack for FO4 if I need to.

Thank you for all of your help!

No, you don't.
Intel Integrated cards can run the game, just not at the greatest settings.

Laptop is relatively new, 2016 or 2017 model.

Those aren't exactly specs you posted.

Please post your full system specs as seen by Steam. Go to Help at the top of your Steam window, then System Information. Copy and paste the results here.

That is the only way someone will be able to help you.

If you have no dedicated card then you can get some ultra compression mods for textures, since I'm going off a whim and assuming you have the Intel HD series.
You "may" also be able to run it 13xx resolution at max but that depends if it's 4000 or higher.

The good news is you actually have 8gb of ram so you "can" run the game but the cpu will crawl it and expect low settings.

First, you can't play FO4 with that intel HD 620 integrated graphics. You need a dedicated GPU that Meets the minimum requirements.

Your CPU is below minimum and is a dual core. Some with dual cores have been able to get the game running in the past but, it wouldn't be pretty.
The author of this topic has marked a post as the answer to their question.

I have an Intel HD 5500, i3-5015U, and 6Gb of RAM and I can run the game just fine by using DirectX Control Panel to force the game to use DirectX 11.1.

Ok, I'll give you that one. I have read that similar rigs as yours have been able to run the game. How pretty, I don't know.

But, an HD 620, I don't think so.

Did not watch the vid.

The fact that it launches is a miracle. But at what fps, stutters and CTD price do they have to pay.

Instead of replying you could take a look.
See what it is, and infer a lower number since the latest patches have it even worse.

Not sure if this will make sense or not.

I don't view YouTube links.

I can run it in fullscreen (1366X768) on lowest graphics settings just fine. I usually get lag when a lot of energy weapons are being fired and sometimes in large settlements. I also have to save and quit the game about every two hours, else I tend to get CTDs. My laptop can be upgraded to 8Gb of RAM, but I don't see it as worthwhile since I plan on building a dedicated gaming high-performance computer once I'm out of college.
