Backpack equip problems

Hey guys I need help with a problem, I currently own the creation club back pack thing and other mods such as Mercenary pack that contains backpacks but for some reason I cannot equip any of them not even the paid one. When I click equip it has the equip sound but doesn't equip. I have tried reloading an auto save and older saves but nothing seems to work. Please help anybody?

I had the same issue. I found out it was because I was using the NCR Ranger Armor from the mod and I had bandoliers equipped on the clothing itself. When I removed the mods from the clothing I could then equip the backpacks.
