However, up until then, I was running the game through nexus mod manager, which is very uselful. I had many Nexus mods running in game.
Unfortunately those Nexus mods overwrote many objects in Wasteland Workshop and Vault Tech workshop.
There are fixes out there but I couldn't get any of them to work.
I was particularly disappointed because I wanted to build barns as power houses to house generators and run power lines out of there to all the settlement utilities.
So I had to de-activate all the Nexus mods and start again little by little. This meant that some of my prize objects in settlements disappeared.
Like my beautiful Bio Shock Big Daddy Armour, my Captain America armour and shield and all the steel and wooden pillars that held up my tree houses and other structures.
So beware of the add-ons, especially if you are using Nexus Mod Manager and you have many objects, you don't want to lose.
Enjoy.
All the add-ons add a lot to the game.
Best option ^ and I guess you just missed the sale.
This. Added benefit is a lot of modders rely upon files from the DLCs and unless they are careful to test and include versions without them then those mods can cause you issues.
Plus the extra robot customizes are pure LOLs. Over all Nuka World = Fun. Far Harber = Quest. Automaton = I want to Build Lots of Fancy Robots. The others = Give me some more stuff for settlements yep!
Over all, I like them all to be honest. Even the Settlement stuff, on average is nice. I really like the new snap in build structures, more than the fan made modded ones which are not very interchangable with other build objects.
Far Harbor - Open world with new factions
Nuka World - Combat heavy and raider oriented
Automatron - Short, with addition of robot crafting
If you like settlement building, then look at:
Vault-Tec Workshop - Build you own vault, with a tiny bit of story content
Wasteland Workshop - New stuff for settlements.
Contraptions Workshop - New stuff for settlements.
The workshops are a bit of a hit-or-miss, but they're cheap. If you live for settlement builing, get them. If you hate settlement building then don't. If you're in between then get them included as part of the Season Pass.
Season Pass: Do the math. If it's cheaper getting the season Pass than the individual DLCs, then of course get the Season Pass. But you missed a big sale. Maybe you can find it on Amazon or elsewhere for cheap.
track down a radio signal
find a submarine
find a kid in a fridge
find where the Boston mayor went
find what happened to the members of the Social Club
explore the huge 18th century warship parked in the middle of Boston
do your companions missions
or just follow the clues from a holotape or note in just about any house
I think those that claim FO4 is bereft of story content may not be looking in the right place.
