I tend to find if I have a game running in 2k or 4k, then switching to the 1080p desktop will always cause it to either crash or shut down.
@Captain Dan I'm currently running at 1080p on ultra, I have a 1080p 75MHz screen
@wolforian Well this is true, but this was just an example, but it also includes leaaving to message people on discord or other game apps (origin, uplay) or if windows just has random sh*t pop up, or any sort of multitasking. In the case of the headphones, I was playing wiithout them but then people showed up where I was so I plugged them in.
The game just doesn't like Alt/tab.
Whats your Windows version.
And this ^
Don't Alt/tab, use the Windows key. (Unless your K/B doesn't have one).
It works for me.
will try to do this next time I play!
usually the only thing I have running in the background is discord, and MSI stuff (true color, nahimic, steel series)
And my desktop res is the same as my game res, game is paused when I go back to it by clicking the taskbar icon.
I use steam for fallout 4, but I also use uplay and origin for games that are only on those, I ask, please, do not make this an arguement on what program we should use
It shouldn't really matter what you have running in the background, but remember Fallout is very system resources heavy, the more you load your system the more likely Fallout will crash or run out of memory.
What games do you have on Origin that you need to talk about while playing Fallout? Must be great games. I'm trying to be very anti-sarcastic. I do want to know.
Quite funny, you don't even own Fallout on Steam.
