No Diamond City Radio
Hey guys

So my DCR and Classical Radio (and probably any other vanilla radio station) are not in my game. At least not in one specific save. I tried tracking the files down but there is not one named "diamondcityradio".

Does anyone know any fixes or atleast know where DCR is located in the files so I can make it a custom radio station?

I would check for file integrity.

You may need to reinstall the game
First try verify the game

Did that but it's the save file, not the game itself.

Baked data into the save from mods installed and then pffft?

Do the other stations work ?

I had that problem long ago, might have been a co-incidence but started working after I picked up a battery.

No mods that overwrite any of the vanilla radio stations, so no. And no, so far I didn't get the Minutemen Radio because I didn't do the questline. Classical and DCR are not working. Other than that, I do get those Military Frequences, Radio beacons, etc.
Is the radio station completely missing, or can you tune into it but there is no output? I've had DCR go silent for hours, only to come back with no warning, just when I was getting used to being free of Travis' "Lonely" Miles generic post-Confidence Man Personality.

They are completely missing. But, like I said, only on this one character. My other ones still have them. :meatytears:

I had the BIGGEST PROBLEM with this. but now, i share with you not my pain, but my joy. Go to a remote location, exterior cell. type "startquest radiodiamondcity" to get DCR back up and running. and if Classical is offline too, do "startquest radioinstitutequest"
You are most welcome.

The console command "startquest radiodiamondcity" is even more reliable.

Those stations/quests start on exiting Vault 111 (when you first re-appear and are blinded by the sun), so missing that part can often leave them unworking for entire playthrough. Not too sure how that happens on a save game where you may have gone through the exiting of Vault 111, but certainly skipping the intro is one way to cause an issue with them.

But even I didn't know about the "startquest" commands, which I will now go and initiate for myself (as I have been playing in a very quiet commonwealth as I skipped the intro in my latest playthrough...) - so thanks for that!

All them years later, you goats provide a solution to this just as I want to start another playthrough. Whatever entity you may pray to, bless you

I hate necroing threads but this was a hidden gem to find. I went rogue and didn't follow mod page instructions and my radio stations decided to go rogue on me.

I did the console commands inside Vault 111 (had already cleared and left it before) and it fixed my radio stations. Thanks.
