Far Harbor WAS pirated and uploaded to Nexus just before it was released and a few thousand individuals downloaded it before it was taken down.
But yes – you normally have to purchase the DLC to play. I highly recommend it; I’m currently knee-deep in Far Harbor and it’s a blast. Kinda reminds me of Stephen King’s “The Mist”.
Most likely piracy. Tell your "friend" that if he enjoys the work Beth provided, he should pay for it.
nope we never downloaded anything from nexus :D
I bought his game as a gift from steam sale without any dlcs but he can use at the moment Everything from the dlcs :D I sit near to them and we try to find out why he can do this :D
Maybe it IS a mistake? Maybe when he downloaded and installed the game Steam inadvertently gave him the DLCs as well?
Check your order history to see if maybe you accidently bought a "sale package" that included the DLCs?
Or just don't worry about it and let him enjoy it I suppose.
Well, of course I'm happy that i can play the DLC's, but it doesn't seem right to me.
About the technical details, there is no DLC mentioned in the game options ( Steam library--> right click on game ). Also there is no DLC to be seen in my " Owned games " tab on my profile. Other DLC's ( like from FO3 and NV ) are listed just fine.
I wonder, does Steam register the achievements for the relevant DLC?
Yes I got achievments from the Far Harbor DLC.
I look at it the same way you do, but I'm just trying to help improove the website by reporting a bug.
One of the problems that I'd be worried about is if the program later loses track of things, especially if it doesn't properly register the DLC as being installed in the first place.
And as another poster stated, if it IS a mistake and the DLC isn't synced correctly it could cause problems down the road.
