After testing it on a beach at Spectacle Island, it appears to be possible, but involved a lot of cases where the companion complained about being unable to get to it when commanded. When they eventually did get into the frame, they teleported out of the water and appeared next to me immediately (though I don't know if the timing was just a coincidence since I was standing back a bit when I gave my commands). They did then refuse to get out of the frame until after I saved and reloaded, slept and otherwise messed about, but that might not be related to the water.
Anyway, at least in theory, it may be possible to recover a power armour frame stuck down that water-filled pit in Dunwich Borers.
are players really this clueless today that they need to RELOAD for this? i mean we got quicksave and autosave and whatnot for a reason. heck there is even beds for survival down there.
