Graphic setting wont change!!!!!

Just bought the game and I can't save any settings. I have tried the read only ini files, restarting my pc, redownloading the game, checking intergrity... Could someone please help me.. it frustrates me how such a triple A title just isnt working properly

Downloaded the game, launched it, changed the settings in launcher and they reverted back?

I would assume its an error on your end as it just won't change the .ini file. Make sure Windows didn't set it as read-only and run the game as administrator.

Its clearly not the game.

thanks for your reply, I changed the settings in the launcher about 30 times, trying different settings. All of them revert back to a small screen. I then looked up some google sollutions and checked for the read only box. None were ticked but I ticked them all on and off to be sure. I then checked for .ini and changed it multiple times which all of them did not work so i just put back the old .ini file. It makes me sad that i have 1 day to play and i just wasted 3 hours getting it to work.

Try running it as admin. There seems to be some conflict while writting the changes.
You could try and delete just the Document folder for F4 and let it redownload it.
Also try exiting Steam and deleting its appcache folder in Steam main data folder, then launching Steam again and let it rebuild it. you never know.

Running it in admin i have tried, trough steam and trough the 2 different .exe files. Will try to redownload again. ty

I may be getting it false here, but I think you're doing it wrong. You're supposed to set the .ini files to read only after setting it. That way the game shouldn't be able to change the settings.

So i felt like a complete dummy after reading this and started changing it back to the settings people have been throwing around. Sadly first time it did not work and gave me a small screen( Been getting pretty used to it by now) Then i used control-c control-v to copy it ( Maybe i forgot a space or whatever right?) So now whenever i start the game it searches for the right setting ( ultra high) and then as soon as i click play it restarts the launcher.. How is it possible that with a brand new pc, a triple A game like this finds a way to F*ck things up like this is beyond me.

You should run fallout with no problems, without editing ini's or messing about with anything.

the weird thing is that the game runs perfectly fine. It's just retarded that i won't let me change any of the settings.. I have about 2 hours to play and already about 5 hours trying to get it to work. Isnt that complete utter nonsense considering I run Warthunder on the highest options.

I deleted and downloaded the dumb game 5 times already! I deleted al the ini's nothing happened. I tried all the options you gave to me... How is it possible that i cant play this..

i quadrupple checked the read only thing. I actually reinstalled the game on another place so i was sure it wasnt the read only lock on program files.
