Meh
Maybe General Reputation, the rest of it is icky icky ew
Not a sub-par karma system that hurt new vegas more than helped it.
At least in Fallout 3, it was tied to some in-game reactions, like which morons would attack you, and how some NPCs would greet you. Of course, even in that best-case scenario, the mechanics of Karma were wildly broken, allowing you to swing from Jesus to Manson instantly, and multiple times.
Karma needs an incredibly robust reworking to ever be something other than a useless gesture.
Starting with a system like general rep, where two indepent values with independent caps are in opposition, now allowing you to erase that murder spree with a handful of water bottle donations.
Of course, then certain actions need to be considered, like how easy it is to accidently steal stuff, or how much of the content in the game is "Good guy" driven. Maybe in that case, demanding a reward would net no "good" Karma. But I'm just waffling on now.
At least your favourite food isn't Ghoulash.
Seriously though, I would like karma system, more than just feeling bad for shooting chickens and rabbits. O.k. I feel bad when I shoot Radstag Does too, they're so cute.
