Body Slide and Outfit Studio mod
For anyone who uses this mod, If you edit proportions of the player character's body, how do you make all the outfits conform to it? Is it the "Batch Build" option?

Yep the youtube video covers it.

Its easier than it looks.

Get the mods and drag and drop basically. To get started anyway.

I dont use presets. I dont even enable the mod. Yet i do use BS. Anyway just start at it and its not to difficult.

Thanks guys

Will my presets change every character of that gender? Or just the Player Character?
Nish-Ki Oct 2, 2017 @ 9:06pm
Think it's just yours. NPC's have default bodies, there are mods that change all female bodies to random presets

Edit: within the area, so they change when they are close to you but it's saved and recorded for that immersive feel

YEah, I only want to change my character's body and leave all other NPCs the same
The tutorial explains that.

Well the easiest way to do it will depend on what clothing your wearing.

So using BS you can change the clothing and then who ever wears it will have that appearance.

Just to clarify, when you install CBBE, it will replace the body mesh that ALL females in the game use. In other words, all females will have the SAME body as the Player since all the female character share the one mesh. The same holds true for male characters.

If you want your SS to have a different body, you'll have to install one of the two Unique Player mods. I'd recommend using the less popular one by Jet4571 since this mod does not have the hand mesh problem that DRail's more popular mod has.

There is a mod on a certain site that Steam won't allow to be linked that will randomize NPC bodies based on their SPECIAL. Just google "Fallout 4 Diverse Bodies".

Or just change one or two clothing your character will wear. Just do build instead of batch build i think it is.

That will only work if the outfit equips to slot 33, which will replace the character's body with the outfit body. Some outfits are assigned to slots other than 33 and if that's the case, the player body will clip through the outfit like crazy since these outfits are designed to fit over the character's body mesh, much like clothes IRL. These outfits must be built to the same preset as the character's body or clipping will occur.

That is why i dont enable the mod. I just use the clothes from BS. Each clothing can be different that way.

I use the clothes as replacers for the rags characters wear in game. By dropping the new mesh into the existing folder like casual wear or what ever. The game then loads the custom mesh instead of the vanilla clothing.

Then i repack everything into the original BSA. Basically replacing all the clothes with awsome Nexus clothes without a single folder in data and without enlarging the load much.

Sorry to spam this screen again, i havnt made any new. But it makes the point.

Cait is wearing her regular vanilla clothes there and vanilla sun glasses. No mesh or texture folder in data, because the Fallout4 - Meshes.ba2 was unpacked, replaced with the custom meshes then repacked.

The one behind Cait is wearing the Surveyor outfit.

The singer in the back is wearing the red sequin dress.

Just explaining how modding can be done with enough practice.

I don't know what you mean by "don't enable the mod". CBBE is a REPLACER, meaning there's NO plugin that can be enabled.

If you're referring to the CBBE.ESP file that comes with the mod, all t hat does is fix a small problem wit hthe back of the HEAD mesh. If your character has long hair, you don't even need to activate it. Caliente states this on her mod page BTW.
