Survival mode + Codsworth question
You have to heal your companions in survival or else they will leave you. So codsworth needs robot repair kits from automatron to be revived.

Should you hold off on using codsworth until starting the DLC? Or else he could just die and you wont have any repair kits for him

They can be crafted right from the beginning, so you should be okay.

2Circuitry, Steel, 2Springs and 4 Fusion cells.

Keep any Hotplates and toasters you find. And Battered clipboards are also a good source of springs.

Ah right I didn't know this. Which crafting station do you need?

Chemistry station. There's one behind the house in Sanctuary facing the APC in the shallow lake to the west.

Yes you need them are you will die quickly in survial mode
Just started using Codsworth now as my companion after ditching Preston Garvey. The robot apparently stopped working during a fight and I though I would need to do something to revive it. How do I do it?

If your not on survival mode nothing really, unless you want him back up quicker in a fight.

If you are on survival its best to use a robot repair kit on him as stated in the posts above.

The option to use a Robot repair kit happens (if you have any) when they are down and you get near them,

just press the button it says to and you will use the repair kit the same as you would a stimpak on a non robot companion.
So he will rise back to normal only after the whole fight is over when not playing survival mode? That is idiotic. I was in a fight against 9 gunner soldiers + a legendary lvl 36 and I'm lvl 30...I was about to end the fight when I spotted the dumb companion on the ground doing nothing but watching me with his silly robot eyes. Absolutely nothing I could do to repair/revive it back during the danger situation I was almost ending.

He will rise up if you go out of the Danger/Caution flag back into the Hidden flag ( seen in sneak mode) for long enough also.

But yes realistically he rises after combat has stoped... Unless you revive him with a Robot Repair Kit, you can use this in any difficulty setting, just pointless out of survival if you now how to stop the fight mid fight by running and hiding.... (IE fall back, re-group and hit 'em, again after)

Hmm...I guess going need to leave codsworth cleaning dust in my home untill I figure out in the time I keep playing how to find these repair kits...are they like the repair kits from Fallout New Vegas? Ohh well I certainly need a strong companion in the game to carry the extra weight I can't 350 pounds salvaging anything in the wasteland.:2016skull:

The only thing Codsworth would be good for is to carry me on it's back across the Commonwealth.
