Is there a way to make terminals in the workshop appear different?
I really like the game. It's a good game, who wouldn't like it? But there's one thing that I do not like the appearance of the terminals that you can make out of a settlement workshop. I want to know if there is a way to make workshop terminals look like the terminals you find out in the wasteland that sit on top of desk containers. You know, like the ones that you find in vault 111? I have been constantly been looking for mods that make them look like the vault 111 terminals, but have had no results that actually satisfy me. And I have no idea how to use the creation kit either. So can somebody pls help me? I'll also tell you that there is a mod that I have that does this, but those are only able to run holotapes. I want answers pls. If someone can make a mod that does the same thing with terminals as in the mod I have called Creative Clutter but with the same functions as normal workshop terminals, I would be incredibly happy to give a reward.

I do not know how to get mods off anything except the mods page in game.
aha.. well.

Allow me to introduce you to a gateway into a whole load of fun. And, it is all free.

Here is a tutorial on what modding is all about.
modding fallout 4

Gopher will be your go-to guide. He explains things for the beginner, so you can feel at ease, and just re-watch the tutorials as you do it yourself. All you will have to do is go to the nexus, download the mod you like, then NExus mod manager will install it for you by clicking on a couple of buttons. Ded easy.

You will need to understand how to manage your mods. They will be loaded into your game in a list order, or a load order. The mods at the bottom of the list being loaded after the mods above in the list. Mods that change the same thing in the game will not want to work with each other. They can cause 'conflicts' whereby they are trying to overwrite the same files. Some mods come with a patch that allow one to take precedence over the other and allow both to work without crashing the game. Look for notes on patches in the descriptions pages of the mods you look at. Key thing to do is read read read.

LOOT is a modding tool that can help you sort the load order of your mods correctly. While the video tutorial below is for Skyrim game, you can still learn how to use LOOT from the tutorial :)
LOOT

Your mods are installed into the DATA FOLDER of the game on your computer. To find it, go through this easy file path:
My Computer / Program Files / Steam / Steam apps / Common / [game- ie: Fallout 4] / DATA.

Soak it up, learn all you can and you will see that it really is pretty easy once you know what it is about.

It can be a bit daunting, but once you understand how it all works, you'll soon get the hang of it.

This is the nexus mod manager. It will handle the installation and uninstallation process for you, so you don't have to worry about it that much. If you watch and learn, you will begin to understand how to master it.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/modmanager/?

When you go here, you can sign up to the nexus FOR FREE. Bear in mind, that when you are ready to submit your account set up, it will offer you options to subscribe, just to support the site and also remove ads. This IS OPTIONAL. Go to bottom of screen and click submit and do not check ANY boxes. That is how you can sign up to nexus mods for free. It is a reputable site with modding at its core principles. There are forums, much like here on steam and you can get help there too from the community.

It seems like a lot to take in, but believe me, it's very simple because your computer operates very simply. It just does what you tell it to do, so put in the correct input and you will get out exactly what you want. Any problems, just ask for help on the forums here or at nexus.

Enjoy! :) :104:

aright, so I have NMM installed, but it says there are no games detected when it says that it has found Fallout 4 on my PC. Why is it doing this?

Ok I love Homemaker, but I wanna know if there is some way to also make it so you can have notes on things like terminals and make custom holotapes or something. Just tell me where to go to get a mod for that, and I'll go directly there.
