How to open the locked security door in General Atomics fabric?
I'm talking about the one on first floor with no terminal around.

RESOLVED! I had this same issue. There is definitely NO WAY currently to open the door. That isnt really a problem with the console commands though. No, you can't use the unlock command to open it, but you CAN use tcl to turn collision off and walk through walls. Inside the room is an extinguisher, a coffee cup on the desk, a radaway in the drawer, and a cooler with a couple chems. Nothing amazing by any measure, but obviously there was loot so it being inaccessible was an oversight. My best guess is that one of the broken computers on the table in the room was supposed to be operational.

Hope that helped anybody with future searches.

General Atomics is the place where parts of the Automatron DLC is located, so unless you have Ada with you and have already progressed in the questline that far, it's not going to open for you.

Edit: I might also be mistaken...about which door are we talking here about exactly?

I'm with Ada there and my quest was to go there. I just killed everything inside, did the puzzle and so on but one of the security doors on first floor don't open. I can't find a hole in the wall/top nor a terminal. But obviously you are meant to go there because inside is something.

Ah...that door...If I recall it correctly, it leads to the managers office to which you have access to if you do a small jump across a broken section of the walkway in the production hall...inside is a locked computer with some backstory, minor loot and a General Atomics ID card, which can be useful for the Galleria, if your charisma isn't high enough for the speech-checks...

Edit: around the 5:55 mark:

is there one of those scan things on the wall that Ada has to scan?"

Just asking because that place was super buggy for me. Sometimes she's scan them. sometimes she wouldnt. sometimes she'd scan and the doors still wouldnt open.

Nope, that's not where I mean. On the first floor, not going any stairs up, is next to the production line a small room and there's a security door.

Scan things? I have no idea what you talk about. How do they look like? I just checked the walls. Nothing at the walls.

First floor? Maybe you're talking about one of the "Nanny-Test" rooms...watch the video I linked...
Edit:
Around the 10:20 mark, he's entering the test area...

Edit2: can you make a screenshot from that door?

I talk about this room: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1150339997 . Not related to the puzzle/nanny tests.

Give me a few minutes, firing up game ...can't recall from the top of my head...

You talking about the QA area with the Miss Nanny robots?

There's a bug that locks the door and stops you from being able to access the Fusion core which is the reward for the little quest in there. The bug triggers if your first visit to the General Atomics factory is after rescuing ADA. So if you want to access that area, go to the GA factory before starting Automatron. (You can have the first quest in your log, but don't go get Ada)

Thanks but this part worked fine for me. It isn't related to the mini quest there.

when in doubt, TCL

This reminds me of that hidden island in the first mission of Goldeneye on the N64. People were freaking out (As much as they could in the pre-internet days) over trying to find out how to get there.

After people hacked the game with Gamesharks and revealed nothing there, it just turned out the island was meant for an abandoned objective that got cut from the final game. I wonder how many GameSharks that sold.

Yeah... nothing can be done to get in there...looks like they have forgotten to link that gate to a computer, and even with unlock console command it doesn't open...it can't even be targeted...
I_hate_Russia Sep 28, 2017 @ 2:34pm
Hm but I thought that some ppl got inside there?! I'm also playing with Unofficial Community patch. So you guys are sure that there is no way :(?
[IFC]Mjollnir Sep 28, 2017 @ 2:37pm
As I said, just checked every terminal in there (had to kill the dang robots again, since they have respawned...) and even tried to open it with a console command, but nope, nothing...
Also, at least for me, there was only a cooler and a coffe cup in there...so you're not missing something..
