Can't go left in workshop mode?
Anyone know why I can't go left in workshop mode? In normal mode I can and I tried to use A instead of Q because I got the azrt kinda keyboard but it doesn't work. My forward button works fine though.

Have you tried repairing your game? Do you have any mods installed? Have you tried restarting the game? Replugging your KB?

well i dont have the qwert kind so maybe it would of worked if i press the button like i would have a qwert kind.
if you still dont know what i mean. in short A is on the first row and Q on 2de and Z is on first next to A while W is on the bottom row.

yes i restarted many times and i had it before mods and with mods. i had the game and then i quit it for abit and reinstalled it now and still the same.
also replugging the KB dont do anything. but its only in workshop mode i got this problem. but if i press Q to go left then it says the text of "this person cannot be assigned to supply line" so i dont really know what makes it do that.

I have a very hard time understanding the issue you're trying to describe.

As far as supply lines go, I don't know, there could be a number of issues. Have you tried assigning different settlers to it?

I think your issue is you cannot assing Preston or any of the sanctuary folks (mama murphy, long couple, etc) to a supply line, only nameless settlers. Is that what you're saying?

He literally cannot move his character to the left while in workshop mode.

I assume you tried changing the key binding in settings?

yeah i had to because by default its on A and i cant use A to go left with a azert keybord.
i didn't even start with supply lines but if i press my button to move left then that text show up no matter where i look.
i always had this problem since the first time i played.

Seems to be a case of having 2 things bound to the same key, it's not that you're not moving, it's that you can't move when the text box is open, and it's bound to the same key and your left key.

I still don't know what text box you're talking about, so I can't tell you what it would be called in the keybind settings. A screenshot would be a of great help.

I think you can't change the workshop keys through the settings menu. You might be able to do it by editing the INI file directly, but otherwise you will need to find a mod that fixes the problem or download a program to change your key binding in Windows itself.

I think you can actually force Windows to treat your keyboard as a Qwerty keyboard. Maybe do that only while playing the game?

Have you tried binding your left key to something else and see if it's as showler and I say?

By default the Q key assigns settlers to things in workshop mode. Hitting Q without having a settler selected will pop up that message briefly.

yeah since i couldn't find anotherr one in the controlls that have Q aswell i didn't really get it but i guess like you said it gonna be on default of qwert in workshop and didn't put that in the settings.
got same problem in mortal combat.

It's his assinging settlers to a supply line issue that's confusing me, it wouldn't let him do that with the essential quest giving NPCs that we meet at Concord, Preston's minutemen crew.

You cannot assign those to a supply line.

He isn't trying to assign anyone to anything. That message pops up any time you hit Q in workshop mode no matter what you are looking at. Unless you actually are assigning a settler to something. It's an old leftover bug.
