not really, seems most are accepting of it. Pragmatic, though I'd say at least partially bisexual would be closer. Though normal seems to be male and female, none really care for the most part.

Probably see more of the old style marriages, with polygamy and line families being around.

Society in the fallout world has gone to hell. Wether you think ♥♥♥♥ sexuality is good or bad, People have more dire concerns in the fallout world than who's banging who.


The brotherhood DOES frown upon it, But not because of a morality issue. Mainly because they NEED to pro-create as per their Faction's creed.


In fallout 2 tho it was kind-of frowned upon. I think I remember you had a higher risk of contracting AID's in F2 if you had gay sex.

There's a bunch of gay/bi characters in Fallout, New Vegas especially. They are treated very well, not homophobic or "all in your face" its just a way of life to the people. Arcade and Veronica are gay and they are both well written and my favorite companions along with Raul. There's also a woman forgot her name in the 1st recon squad and a couple others.

There's a lot of grey area in that respect. There's characters who are homosexual and even one or two transgender characters sprinkled in the Fallout Series. The Pre-War world is never explicitly explained in regards to societal norms such as sexuality & racism even. An overt Racism toward Asian personage is blatantly seen but that's more to evoke the McCarthian Red Scare days parallel to our own reality. But I can't recall a significant mention or explaination of possibile parallels such as the civil rights movement and other similar societial movements. Fallout's world went another few decades past our own but retained a very 1950's view of the world, yet all the typical stains on US history have been convienently omitted. There's coloured persons in the Fallout world, but realistically everything Pre-War and most of the Post-War is shown with a fairly white brush stroke. It seems that certain aspects were just not developed either intentionally or for other reasons; to be fair romance in the fallout series (and Skyrim as well) is rather bland and lacking depth as well so it might have been an oversight in their universe building.

This isn't those games. This isn't a detailed world simulation. This is an open-world shooter where you shoot people in the face. Those questions were answered in those other games already and aren't revisited here.

This game is about shooting people in the face and fiddling with teacup placements. And that's it.

Gays are treated differently in F4.
It is not well known but every gay is slowly replaced by a synth until there are no more gays left. Its a hidden feature implemented.

Railroad is equivalent to SJWs, that is why they want to save synths.
