Sunshine has some area to work with
Finch farm has a decent amount of space to build farms, but you need more defense.
Not sure about the rest
But if there ar eanymore suggestions, I;d be happy to hear them.
Also, will Sim Settlement allow me to scrap literally everything in Sanctuary Hills or no?
I do recommend the settlement limit remover mods, one iirc removed the limit on production/salvage. And allows you to turn off attacks, or reduce them
I also had a lot of fun with Starlight, the parking lot makes it easy to make good looking streets. Should be a pic in my scrrenshots.
The castle is also fun, you can fit 20 or so plots up on the walls.
Abernathy Farm is big, but not very level.
Spectavle island of course, but it's out nowhere.
County Crossing, The Slog and Egret (if you have a scrap mod) arer also good.
Get JTBryant's foundations as well, makes it look so much nicer.
Taffington incorporated:
This settlement provides pretty much all the water for my settlement chain.
And with the defenses put here all attackers get dropped.
Zimonja night club:
I've turned this settlement into a classy pub with ghoul bodyguards jazzy radio music and sexy women.
not a bad settlement for generating caps.
Fort Jamaica: I put everything in this build into repairing the broken building and I couldn't get it done without the vault tec and contraptions dlcs.
The place is now a heavily 3 story fortress that drops anything and everything before it gets close.
Also there's a large carrot farm on the roof.
On this build your pushing the limit of your build cap.
Outpost starlight: another settlement for generating caps.
Only this one has every Lvl 6 vendor to trade with. all you have to do is trade the tons of purified water you get in a day and clean them out for their caps.
The 35 settler population also generates a quick amount of caps in the work bench too.
Murkwater Mirelurk farm:
You know how pesky this settlement is with its constantly respawning queen.
So why not turn it to your advantage.
Build a containment cage around the spawn point and build 3 missile turrets and the queen will be dead right as it attempts its attack.
Allowing you to slip in and out to grab its meat which can either sell for a good amount or save your life in battle.
It's the suite life nothing but queen meat from here on out.
I like it because I can build a fence around it if I want to with no real problem, unlike SH.
I am considering Boston Airport to be secondary Settlement since I am with BoS and for RP sake, I am planning on "recruiting" a few people for them.
The pre-built houses is what kinda bothers me; I can't really fit anything in them :( And with in-game settlement building tool as it is, it's tough to navigate things around.
I would love to have a docile Deathclaw that would take one on one with MQ. That would be quite a show! Wonder who would win
I similarly found it difficult to build neatly around them, and even trying to roughly patch them up was a chore. If they weren't going to include an option for full repair, I would have preferred to raze everything to the foundations and rebuild from scratch.
That shoud've been the case since we were allowed to recycle three other buildings... That's why I was wondering if Sim Settlement would allow to destroy those pre-built houses...
Sanctuary Hills has decent build space and is the first settlement you stumble upon, has lots of space for crops and the river can be used to build purifiers and farm purified water.
Hangman's Alley is a very compact and tight settlement that works better as a player base then a settlement, but it is conveniently located very close to the center of the Commonwealth. Might be worth if you just want a place to sleep and store your shit.
Spectacle Island has the biggest build space of all settlements including those available through DLC, but the relief might not help if you want something as big AND as flat as Starlight Drive-in.
The Slog is also strategically located around interesting parts of the northeast part of the map, and has a building that you can quickly adapt into a bedroom for all of your settlers. There is a good space for a farm and the pool can be used to make purified water.
Jamaica Plain is small but has lots of natural protection such as walls, buildings, etc, that you might want to use depending on the chosen layout.
County Crossing is, perhaps, the best place to build a farm without having to build plots or level the terrain with floors but will require a lot of building to accommodate many settlers.
These are the ones I can remember right now.
Just remember not all item categories are accessible throughout a settlement network created with supply lines. Only building materials and consumables are shared, any other item under weapons, armor and junk categories will be available only at the workshop of the settlement you stored them at.
