Fallout 4 breaks AGAIN! wonderful bethesda
I had my game working literally yesterday after unbreaking it after the creation club ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, installed all my mods and launched the game multiple times, got it back to working order before bethesda decided to be jews. NOW its giving me the same error that broke it in the first place and I have no idea how to fix this, I am NOT going back and fixing all that ♥♥♥♥ again.

Error reads:
You are using a newer version of fallout than this version of F4SE supports.
If this version just came out, please be patient while we update our code.
In the meantime, please check http://f4se.silverlock.org for updates.
Runtime: 1.10.26
F4SE: 0.5.0

I just tried reinstalling script extender but it gave me the same error, how can I fix this? HELP

maybe hold off on using f4se until the CC stuff is taken care of. My guess (and it is just a guess) is that F4se has to be updated yet again. Last time it took that team a mere day. Check for an updated F4se tomorrow.

The way to do this is a two step process.

Step 1. Fallout 4->Properties->Updates Tab. Set it to "Only update this game when I launch it"

Step 2. ALWAYS launch the game with the F4SE loader

As long as you NEVER launch it with the Steam launcher, the game won't ninja update. Here's the deal though, whenever Steam updates its CLIENT, that option will be reset to "always keep this game updated" you you gotta keep on top of that.

Actually, I just tried that, and it still ninja-updated.

you think theyll do away with CC? theyve gotten serious backlash for it. does anyone even use that garbage?
and dont make that idea than others that close steam before launch F4se.... that WILL UPDATE GAME.... so make sure that update setting is when I launch and use F4SE loader

Thanks for the advice, but it's too late sadly.

Well, people are gonna start boycotting them if they do.

So pretty much my only option is to wait for Script Extender to update?

It probably started the update BEFORE you had a chance to change it. Make the change quickly and then exit Steam WHILE it was downloading. That would kill the process. When you re-launch Steam, you should be good to go.

You might find a link to the old EXE if you seach hard enough.

I tried that too, and it just resumed.
