Shotgun Laser Musket or no?
I'm deciding to use the Laser Musket and I already have it to Six-Crank, the damage is phenomenal and it can one shot most things on Very Hard, I just want to know one thing. Should I make it a shotgun or keep it as a single laser?

keep it as single shot since the damage is spread out with a shotgun.

Single laser, definately.

I'm also considering getting a scattered Laser Musket, as a supplement to my current Instigating Laser Musket. What Legendary effects do you guys think would be best for that kind of weapon?

Wounding Laser Musket if you can find one.

Instigating, Mighty and Freezing are also extremely good options.

Crippling (Edit: Kneecapper) is fun too - each projectile has a 20% chance to cripple either leg. So a solid hit practically ensures an immobilized enemy. This works with any shotgun-type weapon, and is also good with automatics.

Instigating would be the one I'd most want on a laser musket, since it works best with heavy individual shots.

Mighty is okay, but kind of generic, while freezing and wounding both do their best with a weapon that makes a lot of hits, rather than than one that delivers a single big hit.

Kneecapper is the one you mean there. Crippling heavily boosts limb damage in general, but doesn't have a chance to auto-cripple.

I agree that kneecapper is great with automatics, though I haven't seen as much effect from it on multi-hit weapons recently, despite seeing this in the past (maybe they changed it at some point, or some multi-hit effects don't deliver it properly).
