Settlement power issues?
For some reason my settlement keeps randomly losing power to areas for no reason everything is still connected and on when it happens but the "power" stat in the workshop menu turns red as if I'm overusing it or something when I'm not. I think Sim Settlements did this, mainly because it only started when I downloaded it. Happened to notice on the custom hud piece that it said my settlement had no power or water thanks to the distillery being down cos of the power shortage. Weirdly I don't even use Sim Settlements at this particular settlement yet, only use its items on one so far.

If its red it means you either are not producing enough power, or something that needs power is not connected properly.

No, thats my entire point here xD My settlements power is FINE, this is a bug. I mean simply turning a generator off and on solves it, but doing it everytime I visit is a pain

Well the only other thing is if it only started happening when you installed a mod, then the thing would be to take the mod off, maybe its conflicting with another mod you have on.

I think it's Sim Settlements for some reason. Don't know why though. Anyone else experienced it?

Several people have reported that exact problem on spectacle island. I have seen it myself without mods. It has to do with the size of the very large area.

I never had a problem there or anywhere else but I always thought that it had to do with the initial loading just not counting up the items on the electric line properly. I don't know a fix beyond what you are doing.

If you do not have any Sim Settlements plots in that settlement, then power issue shouldn't be related to it. Plots might require more power when they grow, but vanilla structures are not effected by that - because they do not naturally grow.

Well i dunno it just seemed to start right after I got sim settlements

Vanilla structures do not have data that would cause them to suck more power.

Its not about anything using more power. It's just power not transmitting in general. And it was fine before I had Sim Settlements and a bunch of its add ons pretty sure

I just can't see how Sim Settlements could create such a problem for you. It uses vanilla workshop power lines and generators.

Nothing related to SS comes to my mind. Problem might be related to your load order, which conflicts with something in SS, or with completely another mod.

Yes, as you say, It is a problem of powered items not being powered up upon returning to the settlement. If you turn the item on or off it seems to reset or recount the total of items on the line. And, as you say, it can be a pain when it happens repeatedly upon returning to a settlement.

I have never seen it anywhere but spectacle island however. I have always had a problem of lighting it up from one end to the other no matter how many generators are connected. Also it is never an error in connection. It seems to be a problem when the settlement is reloaded.

This problem came up months ago in discussion but only with Spectacle island. If you find a fix please post it :)

How many items are connected to your grid? Is it one integrated grid? Mine always are.
