Fastest movement while encumbered
I’m trying to figure out what the fastest way to move while encumbered is.

With strong back 3 and maxed end/agility you can basically do a regular run forever.

Power armor is out, as the leg mods only increase sprint speed, not regular run speed, so you only get a 10% boost from captains Hat, whereas with non-PA you get 40% (marine armor right arm, 2 sprinter legs, captains hat each contribute 10%).

A few other speed boosters:
- sleek leg mods give +5% each when crouched and stack.
- nimble weapon with decent iron sights gives a +75% while aiming.
- you can either aim or crouch separately, or so both at the same time.

Wondering if, when encumbered, sneaking while aiming down the sights of my nimble rad gun is faster just than walking.

Anyone has some game file numbers on these speeds?

Well if you got the DLC you can get legendary items that each gives you 10% movement speed. Oh and also there is strong back 5 that reduces AP drain with 50% when encumbered.

I sat down and did some science (albeit with only 2 readings for each run) :)
Test Track: the red bridge between Graygarden and Oberland, starting right next to tip of the car (on its right) on the Graygarden side, and stopping when I can touch the car on the other side of the bridge.

Except where it says "no 40% armor", all readings are WITH 40% armor (2 sprinter legs, marine arm and captain's hat).

Method Reading 1(s) Reading 2(s) Avg(s) Speed (turnips per second)
Sprint 9.43 9.4 9.415 106.2
Run, no 40% armor 17.4 17.42 17.41 57.4
Run 12.43 12.51 12.47 80.1
Sneak, no 40% 31.2 31.1 31.15 32.1
Sneak 22.14 22.26 22.2 45
Aim 23.43 23.4 23.415 42.7
Both 23.29 23.35 23.32 42.8
Both, Sleek 22.7 22.73 22.715 44
Both, Sleekx2 21.83 21.95 21.89 45.6
Both+NimbleWeapon 15.45 15.35 15.4 64.9
Both+NimbleWeapon+Sleekx2 14.83 14.85 14.84 67.3

What we learned:
1. Yep, all 4 10% speed increasing items stack.
2. The 40% boost also affects sneak speed and aim-walking speed.
3. Sleek adds 5% to sneak speed, and two sleeks stack.
4. Nimble adds 75% to aim-walk speed
5. Nimble + Sleek stack when sneaking and aiming.
6. Answer to my question: Nimble Two-Sleeks Aim-Sneaking is still 19% slower than just walking. Don't bother with Sleek and Nimble. Just walk.
7. Propose a mod to add a perk that allows you to grow 8 legs, equip each leg with sleek leg armor, and subsequently walk (ok, crawl) faster than you walk.

Final results:
Sprint speed: 106 turnips per second
Run speed: 80.1 turnips per second
Sneaking, Aim-walking, with 2 Sleek mods and a Nimble weapon: 67.3 turnips per second.
Just Sneaking speed: 45 turnips per second
Just Aim-walking speed: 42.8 turnips per second (similar but not same as sneak)

Oh, I didn't notice the Strong Back 5 one. That's the same effect on running encumbered as Moving Target 3 is for sprinting. Nice one, thanks :)
