Breakheart Banks
Recently cleared out Breakheart Banks of super mutants for a quest given by Wiseman in the Slog. In past play throughs I would swear that there was a workshop bench at Breakheart, this time there isn't any. Has that changed, or am I delusional (or both)?

Breakheart shows on the map with a settlement icon, but even in past play throughs I've never been able to establish it. Maybe it's not meant to be settled, or maybe I'm not allied with the right faction.

I wondered that too when first time getting there. Why is the thing build as a farm when you can't use it as a settlement? Are we supposed to believe super mutants suddenly become civlized and grow crops? No idea why this is how it is.

It was a settlement but Super Mutants took it over, and I have never seen a workbench there in all my play through's. But I wondered why we couldnt retake it as a settlement, guess they never wont us too.

It's not meant to be settled I think. Too close to the Slog really. Think it's mostly just some backstory, and a little bit of a sad tale since the Muties obviously killed everyone who was there so they could use it. Good source for corn though.

No. It's never been able to be settled by us. Looks like it should be of course, but I think they just used the wrong icon for it on the map. Possibly there was going to be more to it though and it got cut.

I need to find a mod that lets me skin Muties and craft armor from their blood-soaked pelts. Now that would be proper post-Apocalyptic attire.

There are a bunch of dead settlers in a loo. You can assume they were the owners before the supermutants turned up.

Are you sure? I mean seems more likely it was a super mutant settlement and the settlers were raiding it.

There are several places like that that don't have workbenches. Just across the river from Taffington Boathouse is a former settlement also taken over by super mutants, who took it from raiders, who took it from the original settlers. Near Break heart is a village with a tall tower with a sirene that summons two deatclaws to eat raiders attacking it. Raider must have snuck up on them, but you can avenge them by summoning the deathclaws yourself.

On the other hand, way down south is a workbench guarded by a mirelurk queen with a couple of trees and not much else, that you can make into a settlement. Probably make a good water farm out of it.
