So why does Maxson look 40 if he's 20

In fallout 3 he was 10
The Game begins 10 years after 3 he's 20 when you start but as in-game years pass he will get older. We don't have an exact date when he took over but I assume 15

Nope. He was 10 years old in Fallout 3, and thus 20 in F4. He became 'Elder' at 16.

She apperentlly died in battle I theorize Maxson had a hand in it
Elder/Owyn Lyons died of old age
The rest aren't answered but I bet they're either dead or in the citadel in the capital wasteland

Maxson grew up in the Capital Wasteland. An arguably /worse/ place to be than the Commonwealth. He's climbed the hill of life in a short time, and the stress of doing so shows. Some people appear older than they are because they've simply been forced to mature mentally, and some stress has worn them down.

As for the Lyons.. I think it's implied they either died of age in the case of Elder Lyons, and.. I think implied assassination, or sabotage in the case of Sarah Lyons..

I married Sarah Lyons, and we moved to Far Harbor, then the fog came in and we sailed away to Bermuda, really felt we dodged a bullet with that! as for the rest of the BOS in DC some are still there others have moved back west, and the rest is as they say...history!

If I remember my FO3 lore , the Brotherhood arrived in the Capital Wasteland from the west (I think It was Calafornia from memory) around twenty years before FO3 began . The Brotherhood at the time was obsessed in retaining all remaining technology at the tme . Over time , Sentinal Lyons decided to start helping the people instead .

I remember the leader of the breakaway Brotherhood group leader saying that Lyons had broken the law by heoping the people of the Capital Wasteland .

It could be said either this breakaway group or maybe the western branch of thr Brotherhood
staged a militry coup and repaced the leaders to what we see ''today'' .

no that's incorrect they left with maxon so he would be 20 in Fallout 3 thats wrong it was only a few years before
