Fallout 4 Misc Quest not triggering

I have the fallout 4 misc quest investigate parsons state insane asylum and its darker than the rest of the quests. I cannot click it to "lead me to the asylum and i have already done the Cabot house questline but for some reason it wont trigger

Can you share a screenshot?
Or describe in detail what exactly have you completed for the Cabot House quests and how? There is a series of them. You cannot get into Parson's without Jack Cabot, and it's easy to botch up the whole chain.

Umm tommorw moring I can get a screenshot and I have completed the entire Cabot house quest line

I am confused then what you are asking about.
You maybe looking at the completed quests section then.

Oh, you probably overheard a conversation or something, similar to Museum of Witchcraft investigation. What level are you?
You need to speak with Edward Deegan either in the Third Rail or Dugout Inn to start the quest chain for the Cabot House. Be careful where you fast travel though, because if you travel to the Creamery before Deegan sends you to talk to peeps at the Asylm, then you can botch up the quest and Emogene will get glitchy. That happened to my husband.

I understand this is a very old thread, but I have yet to find a solution to this problem on the web. OP, were you able to figure out how to resolve this?

I don’t remember how I solved this issue or even if I did solve it, I think you could finish the quest through console commands but I wouldn’t know the command for it. Sorry I couldn’t help more
