Looksmenu - Preset saving doesn't seem to be working, unless I'm doing something wrong
So I hit Y to save my preset, and I'd expect to be able to load it, but it's not showing up. Not sure where to go from here. Anyone willing to help me with this, or no? To vlarify, I'm using Mod Organizer, with the F4SE version for game ver. 1.10.26, and LooksMenu 1.6.2.

Look in Data/F4SE/Plugins/F4EE/Presets/ and see if your preset is there. It should be a .json file. If you have no Presets folder in that location, just create one and try creating and saving your preset again.

Give this a try, exit mo2, manually create the folders F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets\ in your data folder then restart mo2, if that does not work then check the overwrite folder to see if the preset is there, if it is create a new mod called something like looksmenu preset or whatever you want it to be and make sure the folder layour in it is correct.

That you are gonna have to blame on the Creation club. Whenthey updated the code for the mods. it seems to have changed the direct code. Because my maps are no longer in color.

Are you talking about the Pipboy? If so, you MUST update any mod that changes the pipboy. That's because the original CC update made a change to the vanilla pipboy record, giving the ability to mod it at the workbench. If you don't bother to update ALL mods that affect the pipboy, since those mods were created with the OLD record, those mods will overwrite the NEW record with the OLD.

I have the same same problem Iron Tarkus, did you ever find a solution?

I'm afraid there appears to be no fix at the moment, I've read the MO has a problem with F4SE files (although I cant confirm or deny this as I have other F4SE mods installed through MO and they seem to work just fine).
I've read that any mod with a F4SE file needs to be installed manually to the DATA folder, I havent tested this yet, but once I do I'll post here my findings.

Here is the link to the article I read about the problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/FalloutMods/comments/70wp9c/fo4_mod_organizer_2_f4se_and_looksmenu/

Rightclick a suitable mod in Mod Organizer (Looks Menu Compendium if you use it) & open it in explorer. Make a F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets folder.

Doesnt work for me.. As I have the exact file structure for mods I created for the presets.

This bug was also apparent in Oblivion with OBSE files and MO.

Best solution I can think of for those of us using MO is the drop the presets in your Data folder (temporarily) data\F4SE\plugins\F4EE\presets
Then after creating your new character you could go back and delete the F4SE folder.

From what i remeber when having this problem what you needed to do then was create the following directory structure in your fallout folder, not under mo2 but in the actual fallout 4 folders data\F4SE\plugins\F4EE\presets, also make sure that any presets you are trying to use have the correct folder set up. It just needs to be empty directories no need to store anything in them though.

After that they should work correctly, make sure to shut down mo2 while setting up those empty directories though i was under the impression the newer v2.1.1 verion of mo2 had sorted this need out.

Chances are though any presets you have saved already if they are not in either that location or in the overwrite folder are gone, somehwere into thin air, or at least that was what happened to mine anyway.
