[SOLVED] 3rd person camera broken?
So i have poked around with some changes to the 3rd person camera INI settings, and now when i go back to normal/default, the camera is all zoomed out and zooming in to max still shows my feet, that's how zoomed out it it. Applying everything to default doesn't help...

You'll need to get that copy of the ini you changed, back to its original format... You DID make a copy of the original INI, right?

Nope, since i just tweaked some camera settings (only 7 different changes) i could just easily look them up and change them back?

Easier to just delete your .ini files (except for custom.ini). Default location: C:\Users\<profilename>\Documents\My Games\Fallout4.

Default files will be created when you launch your game.

But i have a list of about 25 mods?
MageThis 18 października 2017 o 13:14
Yeah, if any mod modified, or you did, the .inis then your best bet is probably just investigate the few settings you changed and return them to default. Or, back up your inis. delete them, recreate them by launching then compare yo your saved inis and edit the new .inis.

^^^

This is probably the easiest way to do this. The less you tweak that file, the better. And: always, ALWAYS make a copy first.

But a copy won't matter, since i install a lot of mods that modify them. Restoring them will ♥♥♥♥ my game...

Make a copy of your current inis. They are good, according to you, except for the 3rd party camera. Delete the original .inis (they will be re-generated on launch).

Now, edit the new .ini by comparing it to the saved inis. The values for the 3rd party camera will obvious by comparing the 2.

The first thing i did after the camera thing happened was t o delete my inis

If your using nexus mod manager to manage you mods, will it not let you reactivate them with clean ini's?

I mean, when using a lot of mods, some of which might be making changes to my ini files, there could potentially be damage done by completely scraping them
MageThis 19 października 2017 o 10:44
You are not scrapping them. You may edit THAT ini (the one with the MOD edits that you have now saved). Compare the two and pick 1 to edit.

But i have already made copies, edited, tried, reverted, again and again it doesn't help.
Ceejay 21 października 2017 o 17:06
Yes but again if you disable and re-enable the mods in nexus, wont that update your ini's the only ones it wont is any you have installed by hand without nexus.
