Fallout 4 Freezing on main menu!

Basically what is happening is I will start the game, and it will go to the main menu where it zooms in on the power armor with the text "Press any key to start" or whatever. I do so and the game freezes. I cannot exit the game other than signing out or restarting my computer. Note that it does not crash, it just freezes

I have heard that this is a controller issue, catch is... I don't have a controller so it can't be that. I have tried a clean install and I have verified the cache, all files were intact. Any help would be appreciated.

I also deleted all mods if that helps clarify. The problem still persists.

Well did you try fresh ini files in documents > my games > fallout4 by removing the old ones?

Is this with a save file present?
Maybe you got rid of a mod and relied on a save file. Remove the save folder also in this case and try launching fresh game.

What's that audio device? Is it USB headset?
Try unplugging it and launching the game.

Yes I had a bluetooth headset. disconnected it and it still does not work. Thanks for replying by the way
It shouldn't freeze on that PC.

When you did your fresh install, did you delete the Fallout 4 folder in the game's directory so there are no traces in steamapps?
It also leaves a Fallout 4 folder in Documents > My Games that should also be removed so there are no traces of game data (backup your saves).

Then install fresh with the hi resolution textures unchecked so they doNOT download.

After that, run the first time setup files located in the game's directory in steamapps.
I think they are called Common _Redists and DXSETUP.

It shouldn't freeze after that.
I just was thinking of a steam cloud issue also. Do you use steam cloud?

Have you use LOOT for load order? specially if you have mods.

Thank you everyone! I have solved it by deleting the saves! which is odd because I don't know how that would affect it freezing before I can even load a game

So how did you delete your saves if you couldn't get to the menu? Did you delete the saves through MO2? I don't have any saves in there and I'm having the same problem

Saves are located in My Documents\my games\fallout 4.

This thread is over SEVEN years old! They are not going to respond to you...

I have the same problem it freezes on main menu when I first load the game or anytime I try tio access one of my saves and then it eventually smoothes out, I never had this issue before the next gen update, I don't have any mods loaded either

I do have an idea though I might have too much inventory in my settlement workbenches causing the gamesave size to get too big gonna try clearing them out and see if that helps
