jump height
will bethesda ever make a game where you can jump realistic heights? my character is wearing next to nothing to be sneaky, as per my play style, and can't jump more than a half an inch. is that even considered jumping?

You must be quite the athlete, because I certainly couldn't jump over a boulder or an 8-foot gap in a busted freeway.

you can only jump half an inch high? im not saying stupid unrealistic long jumps, but the average human can jump 16-20 inches high, yet in game you barely jump an inch....

Fixed.

In older TES games, acrobatics skill determined how high/long you could jump.

I would be okay with that.....

Icarian Flight was kind of a mixed blessing.

Are you kidding me? Go into third person and tell me you can only jump an inch off the ground. Our characters have some very respectable jump height.

I can't jump either! But then again, I'm carrying 15k lbs of garbage around with me.

In my Power Armour, I can jump about two-and-a-half feet though.

In the few YouTube videos I've seen, I got the impression that folks were skipping and jumping all over the place, in this game?

Where real life is concerned, jumping isn't exactly a skill that people typically have. I'm thinking back to the olden days when a bunch of kids would be learning to long-jump, etc. People in my part of the world suck at trying to launch their bodies through the air (and that's under ideal circumstances - gym clothes, running shoes, no gear, not tired or injured, etc.).

I'd love to see a video where the OP wears similar clothes to his character, carries the same weight (including a few rifles, etc.) and then tries to jump around on a construction site. For added entertainment value, maybe he can do it in the rain as well? We'll just give him a pass on the radiation and people shooting at him while he does it though...we don't actually want to see anyone getting hurt, after all.

My character can jump on top of a car. I think that is a pretty respectable height.

Don't forget to have him make a few dozen different weapons magically disappear up his backside as well. It's a wonder our characters can walk, let alone jump. :steamhappy:
That's a crappy jump?

I...I can't be that out of shape...right?

My fallout 4 character can't jump that high. I would say that height is the same as the railing out of the noob town and I can't even jump on top of that without 2 jumps. 1 jump to glitch onto whatever, and another jump to actually get on top. maybe my game is just glitched, but the jump height isn't right. rofl

I love ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like you, who push things to the extreme but fail to make the real point.

The character in the game can't jump. I can't get on top of cars, I can't get on top of railings, there is literally no jump height. Hell I can't even jump over a small rock. But naw its just my imagination or "insert carry weight" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥....
You can make improvements on power armor. You need the appropriate ability (perk).
