Looking for a mod that normalizes item costs.
Hoping someone has made this before I dedicate hours of boring math to make my own. I googled price, shipment, cost, and vendor keywords on top of fallout 4 mods to no joy but hooping maybe someone knows of a search I missed.

What I am looking for is a mod that has made all items priced according to the base items involved. Say for example an item yields 2 steel and 1 wood. I am hoping the mod makes that item the same cost as if I was able to buy the 2 steel and 1 wood. Hoping shipments are still priced according to convenience but not gonna complain if they are normalized as well.

Bonus if somone has gone even more deep and repriced all items according to what the component count is for a created object. For example. If it requires 5 steel, 8 wood, and 2 plastic it is now valued at the minimum base cost for all components involved. Preferrably with a profit hike.

Hope this made sense. Writing this just before bed so I can hopefully get some responses when I wake up in 8 to 10 hours.

Super Helpful Reply: A thing's value (Anything) is more (or sometimes less) than the sum of its material parts. So no idea why you think this counts as "Normalizes" by homogenizing the prices based soley on the materials extracted, which often isn't even 1:1 anyway.

Yes, and this is because there is value in the manufacturing, testing, packaging and shipment of products. Companies tend to go out of business when their manfactured goods retail value drops below the material value.

Ty Pike but that does not fit the bill. Saw that one but according to the description all it does is mess with shipments.

As for Hobo. This is obviously a convenience mod I am asking for not a realism mod.

What I don't understand is why burnt magazines are worth 1 cap, but burnt books are worthless.

i made a mod like the one your asking for. Not to the exact extent but very similar. but i formatted the hdd i had my fallout folder in and deleted the mod with a heap of others i still wanted.

i may make it again if i cant find another one that im happy with. kids make it hard to sit at pc to make a mod. if i get time to sit at pc i would rather play a game

I leave the default costs exactly the same but set the buy/sell cap to 1:1
I have a way to "normalize" cost, it's called charisma and cap collector.

Ty for the replies. I downloaded creation Kit and decided to make my own. Although I do like the 1 to 1 idea. Might look into that as well but don't want this to be too cheaty just more convenient. Think blindly buying all junk and not needing to worry about best price.

Yeah it annoys me that my item is worth 10caps but there item of the same kind is 400caps.

I did make purified water expensive as hell. Also deathclaw hand and meat is actually worth selling now.

It's like all the Bethesda games the bloody traders are just there to rip you off. Accidentally Sold a gun I wanted to keep for 30caps, the bloody thing cost nearly 2000 to buy back. Well that playthrough diamond city is abandoned.

How did you make it 1:1? I would like to make mine 1:1.5 or 1:2.

i think if you are willing to go as far as install mods to mess with the prices of items, you might as well go ahead and just give yourself money with the console.

look for "MinBuyPriceFactor" and "MaxSellPriceFactor" in Creation Kit.
Default values are 1.05 and 0.95 respectively (vanilla)
