[Fixed] Mouse not rotating camera
Note: this isn't that pandemic issue people had on launch where their mouse wouldn't work on the main menu. My mouse works just fine there, and in the Pipboy menu or pause menu.

My issue is that moving my mouse doesn't move the camera. I can attack and block using the mouse buttons, and wildly swinging the mouse will cause my character's hand to jerk like he's trying to turn, but nothing else happens. I've done multiple clean reinstalls of the game, even installing it to a different drive, but the issue still remained. Plugging in a gamepad let me play normally, but I hate using a controller in FPS style games.

Computer specs:
OS: Windows 10, 64 bit
CPU: Intel i5 7500, 3.4 GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 1070
RAM: 8 GB, DDR4-2133
MoBo: MSI B250 PC MATE

Not heard of this one before!
But a couple of suggestions/questions though.

1. Have you or do you use mods?
2. Have you altered the key mapping
I.e changed the keyboards configuration?
3. When you reinstalled did you delete the ini files from your doccuments folder?
4. Habe you tried unplugging the controller and disabling the controller in the launcher menu?

1. I currently have mods downloaded, but not installed. However, previously, this error kept happening with completely fresh installs. As in, I manually deleted all Fallout 4 game data (mods included), downloaded the game through Steam, and immediately clicked the Play button. Still had the error.

2. Nope. Not that I can think of, anyway.

3. Pretty sure, yeah.

4. Yes. First thing I did. I manually changed the ini files to disable the controller, and also tried playing with the controller for a bit before swapping to keyboard + mouse. I could move, attack, and navigate menus, but not move the crosshair.

So... the next saga in this incredibly annoying bug is that I've gained minimal mouse control through an ass-backwards method. By plugging in a controller, unplugging it, and plugging it back in, my mouse will cause the camera to judder oddly. If I move my mouse at a glacial pace, then I can look around normally, but any sudden movements will reset my view to straight up or down.

Using a Razor mouse with synapse by any chance?
Couple things you can do if so, unplug your mouse for a couple seconds.
Uninstall synapse.

First option normally works while still in games.
Second option is a bit more extreme, but lets just say its inevitable sooner or later.
Razor just aint what they used to be & oddly enough, its only synapse thats killin 'em off.

Yeah BTW, Razor keyboards/mice work just fine with generic MS drivers.
But needless to say they become generic keyboards/mice.
i.e. $15 kbd/mouse combo, but work trouble free.

Do you have a controller plugged in?

My mouse isn't a Razor, it's a GearHead.

No, I didn't have a controller plugged in. Also, I specifically unplugged and replugged one and went into the ini files to force disable the controller.

Anyway, it just fixed itself. My suspicion is the mouse mod I installed to fix different vertical/horizontal sensitivity. Thanks for you all's help.
