Reloading Issues

So uhh, I'm playing through Far Harbor, and I got the Lever-action Rifle. However, when I reload it, it reloads as if I fired all the shots, even if I fired just one. This is kinda deadly in a fire fight, but I also noticed this problem on a modded gun ( Hunting Shotgun [www.nexusmods.com]), so is this just a normal game mechanic? Or did a mod of mine screw this up? I have 200+ mods so I can't be bothered mentioning them all, most don't even matter like pip-boy reskins, etc.

If this is a normal mechanic however, I would love to know a mod that fixes this. I really like this hunting shotgun too, it's so dope hahaha.

I'm fairly certain that it's just the reloading animation and that it has to run its course, but the lever-action is such a rarely used weapon that I couldn't say for certain

You could give either of these a try, and it is from what i am aware a game bug, it does not take into account how many shots you have used just the total size of the magazine for that gun, so it takes 10 rounds to fully load and you shoot 2 then reload the animation will reload all 10 rounds.

Though as I do not use the level action myself, which if either will work is up in the air, you may need to try one or both, though the one with the latest update may well work better for you.

I kinda like the Minutemen too, so I installed a Preston mod that shuts him up.
Also Preston, those Ghouls are on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP, HOW ARE THEY A THREAT TO MY SETTLEMENT WITH 500 + DEFENCE AND WALLS SURROUNDING THE PERIMITER WTF.
