That is what so many said about the Steam workshop yet it worked well for a lot of people. Notice that the OP is about that and Nexus existed long before the Steam workshop so the Steam workshop competed quite well with it as will this one.
Steam workshop is limited to mod size.
Nexus mods are the best way to go for now.
I know what I am talking about cause I do make mods. Now good bye and I am not wasting my time fighting you. I got better things to do with my life.
